I have been freelancing as a side hustle and along with that I work in a reputable australian startup. I have an LLC in The States. How can I apply for a US visa now for business or should I wait until the elections? Has anyone from Pakistan done this before?

Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate your guidance regarding travelling from Karachi, Pakistan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I have a few questions before my flight:
Any advice or experiences from those who have recently travelled to Malaysia on an Employment Pass and Dependent Pass would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Hello Everybody.
Could you tell me what is the ruling on Prize Bonds, as my family is adamant that they are completely fine to keep.
According to my understanding, it is a sort of gambling and that majority of the scholars have not allowed it. But my family says that since our money stays intact i.e we can get our money back if we don't win, then it's all right.
Kindly clarify if I am in the wrong, or any strong argument that I can give to counter.
Thanks Alot everyone!

I don’t know where to ask this so I’m asking here.
I’m planning to take my Cambridge A Level exams in the October/November session but I’m wondering if I could start my bachelor’s degree in August, which is only about 3 months earlier.
I know it’s a short gap but would HEC have any issue with this later when it comes to degree recognition or attestation? Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how HEC handles cases like this?
I’m specifically asking about HEC’s policy, not just whether a university would allow me to enroll.

Hey everyone,
I’m currently at a crossroads and could really use some unfiltered advice. I’m thinking about enrolling in an online MBA from a foreign university specifically looking at the University of London (UoL) Global MBA, or honestly, any other reputable online foreign program.
Before I drop a chunk of money and commit my evenings to this, I want to weigh it against doing a standard, physical, local MBA (like at IBA/IoBM, LUMS, or even KSBL/SZABIST).
I have a few specific questions and worries:
1. Online Foreign MBA vs. Physical Local MBA
Network vs. Name: A massive part of a local MBA is the physical networking, the group projects, and the actual face-to-face push you get from peers. With an online degree, I'm basically studying alone in my room staring at a screen. Does the "foreign brand name" of UoL actually compensate for having zero local classmates, zero alumni events, and zero local job placement drives?
Value of the Degree: Do local employers actually look at a "University of London" degree and go "Wow, foreign graduate!" or do they just see "Oh, they did an online distance learning course" and throw the CV in the trash?
2. Career Opportunities in the Pakistani Market
How do HR departments in top Pakistani companies (MNCs, FMCGs, local giants, banks) view online foreign degrees?
If two candidates apply for a management role one with a physical MBA from a top-tier Pakistani uni (LUMS/IBA) and one with an online Global MBA from UoL who realistically gets the callback?
3. The "Worst-Case Scenarios"
I want to prepare for the absolute worst. If you've done this or know someone who has, what are the horror stories? For example:
HEC Equivalence Nightmares: How hard is it to get an online/distance-learning foreign MBA recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan? Does HEC still give people a hard time with "hybrid" or online degrees when it comes to equivalence certificates?
Zero ROI: What is the likelihood of spending £10k+ only to end up in the exact same job, with the exact same salary, because local HR doesn't care about the degree?
If anyone has done the UoL Global MBA (or any other online program) while living in Pakistan, please share your experience. Was it actually a career accelerant, or did it just end up being an expensive "box-ticking" exercise?

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well. I’m doing my cousins bridal vanity (She is in KHI) for makeup as I live abroad so I’m sending her some products from here. I’m purchased majority of items but I’m stuck on lip colours.
I would say she has medium skin tone and she says she has pigmented lips. For reference her daily lip is more taupe by Maybelline. I’ve also seen her wear berry/mauve lipsticks and dark burgundy/plum. She also uses the Maybelline vinyl inks in different colours.
So far for her I’ve got:
* NARS Lip Pigment in Somebody to Love
* MAC Viva Glam Equality Lipstick
* Morphe Lip Filter in Whipped
* NYX Lip IV in Drippin' in Rose
* Too Faced Pillow Balm in Berry Jam Kiss
* Too Faced Pillow Balm in Hot Cocoa Kiss
* Beauty Bay Trio including Hyper Gloss Lip Click in Bitten, Vintage Lip Liner, and Lip Plump in Biscotti Spice
I’ve gone for a mix of gloss/matte so she has things for more glam but also for day to day and stuff to wear with lip liners.
Is there anything else I should add? I didn’t go for light colour or anything pink as that doesn’t seem to be her preference from photos.
Personally I think it’s enough lip products but wanted to double check.
Only two more I was considering adding was L’Oréal lip liquids in worth it medium (matte) and drunk in rose (lacquer) or would this be overkill/is it better swapping any of the more glossy ones with these two from L’Oréal?
Would just appreciate any answers/opinions xx
Also I haven’t purchased/ considered anything from Maybelline as they have told me it’s easy to purchase from where they’re from.
Thank you in advance girls x

Hey everyone,
I know this has probably been asked a lot, but I'm looking for some recommendations on a smartwatch.
My budget is around PKR 12,000, and my main priority is accurate tracking, not just smart features. I'll mainly use it for:
- Gym workouts
- Walking
- Running
- Sleep tracking
- General health/activity logging
I've been looking at the Redmi Watch 5 Lite, and on paper it seems like a great option in this price range. Has anyone used it? How accurate is it for fitness and sleep tracking, and how's the overall build quality?
I'm not interested in fitness bands because I prefer the look of an actual watch.
If there are better options around the same budget, I'd really appreciate your recommendations and experiences. Thanks!

I applied to GCUL and Punjab University. Now problem is PU entry test and GCUL interview is on the same date and time. I cant risk not taking both. I believe interview date can be adjusted. But i think it wouldnt be wise to mention I have an entry test as the reason? Also should i call the department or do I email them?

So I am a representative you can say of this organization whose focus has been on educating the youth on different cultural historical and political issues of Pakistan and around the globe. So for that purpose we hold weekly study circles at "Pak tea house Lahore" every Sunday. We would be glad to host more young enthusiastic students. You all can search on Facebook about the organization as well.
The study circle is free of cost for anyone who wants to join us. The length of the session will be approximately about 2 hours. So whoever wants to come join us to have a fruitful discussion on the topic you are wholeheartedly invited. Whether your background is religious or secular we always value different viewpoints.
If there are any further inquiries hit me up on reddit I will try to respond as quickly as possible. But yes the session is on This Sunday so just come.

I've seen so many Pakistanis that are against the army. They seem to really hate them (I'm kinda neutral idk) but is the hatred the same for airforce and navy?
The main question is that anti-army people are also anti airforce/navy? (Btw no hate to those who are pro/anti army. I'm just curious)

I've observed that a lot of (not all of course but a many) Pakistan born Pakistanis don't bother to learn English when they come to England.
They use the excuse that there are insulated communities in England, but I find it really off putting, how they expect me to conversate in urdu/punjabi/pashto with them and have this complex that they don't need to learn English.
Even in my own extended family I have relatives who cannot hold a conversation with me in English, and I'm look at as the freak for speaking to them in English.
I don't see this in Arab or Indian communities, so why do you many (not all!) Pakistanis always do this? 🤦🏾♂️

Why are Pakistanis, on one side so extremely kind, hospitable and helpful to western travellers? They Are really able to go long way to help foreigners.
But on second point of view, why they ask such intrusive, even rude questions like: Who is your father? Are you like your father or mother? How relationships are in your family? Do you have children? And absolutely worst: Why dont you.have children? (directed to older, chidless female travellers) Why nobody foto an idea that could be very hurtful? If you could not have children, if you are estranged from your family, If your father is loser...
Why human in Pakistan has no value as individual, how ever capable, smart and honest he could be, bit his/her worth Is directly derived from his family?
