A couple of days ago I posted the fake GCSE paper I made on here and a few of you wanted to actually do the full paper. As a result I have attached a link to the whole paper with all 100 marks worth of questions. Feel free to do as much of it as you like and let me know which questions you thought were good or if any were too hard.

Hello and welcome to Pakistan Cricket Trivia!

Yesterday's answer was Danish Aziz. He was playing in the match where Fakhar was runout on 193 which sparked "fake fielding" allegations.

The gap between Pakistan matches has made me extremely bored so I decided to make a full GCSE paper based on the Pakistan team. This genuinely took ages to make lol.

I've attached a selection of questions but if enough people are that bored and willing to literally do an exam on the Pakistan team then I can upload the whole paper.

Reportedly Pak officials are irritated with this decision. I guess Hesson’s time is nearing its end too.

Stats & Analysis Sir Imam Bradman in domestic cricket

Post image
17 Upvotes

In the last two years, Sir Imam Bradman has performed admirably across formats in domestic cricket.

In red-ball cricket: 1631 runs @ 65.2 Average

In List A cricket: 1514 runs @ 75.7 Average & 97 Strike Rate

In T20 cricket: 547 runs @ 42.1 Average & 147 Strike Rate

Yet why is he not picked in PSL 😡 He is the solution for every format including T20 and ODI. Classic case of selectors giving no importance to domestic performances 😡.

(PS: I included the glorious Hanif Muhammad Trophy in red-ball stats. It is not a first class tournament, but I had to include Imam's greatest innings ever of 330(281) vs Dera Murad Jamali)

Cricket News Tentative dates, venue revealed for PCB's four-team one-day tournament - Cricket

I am at a failure to understand this.

11th to 18th August while England Test tour begins from 19th August. This means that Pakistan Test team won't be playing this tournament. Then the tournament is being played at Multan, flat tracks or spin wickets. It would've been better if this tournament was played at Rawalpindi or Diamond Cricket Club, that have pacy wickets, or even Muzaffarabad or Abbottabad that have green tracks.

What is this planning by Aaqib Javed. Every night he sees a new dream, and then implements what he interprets from it the next day.

Nobody got yesterday's answer correct which was the only players in Pakistan FC history to be called for throwing. It last happened in November of 1999 to Shahid Afridi.

Cricket Discussion Our odi wc squad is looking really good ngl!

Post image
0 Upvotes

So as we all know, the ODI World Cup is next year, and ngl to u guys, our squad is looking really good. This is what I think PCB will select next year

  • Saim Ayub
  • Abdullah Shafique
  • Fakhar Zaman
  • Babar Azam
  • Mohammad Rizwan
  • Muhammad Ghazi Ghori
  • Salman Ali Agha
  • Shadab Khan
  • Arafat Minhas
  • Shaheen Shah Afridi
  • Naseem Shah
  • Haris Rauf
  • Mohammad Wasim Jr
  • Abrar Ahmed
  • Sufyan Muqeem

This is not my squad, btw, this is what I think PCB will select
First of all, I do not want Shadab to go at all, don't know why we even play him in odi ngl. I want Sufiyan to go, pcb doesnt really give him that many chances, but I think he will be selected as a backup to abrar which is fair in my opinion. I really like Naseem. If he is healthy, the guy is talented asf. I think minhas if he is selected, will cook ngl, he is really good, way better than Dammad G, and it ain't close. As on the other dammad, PCB is obviously selecting him as he is our captain, I do think for some reason PCB will appoint Babar the captain just right before the WC for some reason. But on Shaheen, I think he will do decent, maybe focusing only on whiteball help him since he was not selected in the red ball series?? Onto Abrar, I think he will cook, world-class spinner, he's gonna be great. For Rauf, he can take wickets and at the same time concede runs, but hopefully he can improve on how not to concede runs (i dont think he will). I think Wasim is pretty good in ODI. I do think he will be selected and will do fine in the WC. Onto our batters, I'm gonna start with Ghazi Gori, as a wk, I don't like him at all, as a batter, he is decent, nowhere near rizzu obv. Now onto Abdullah Shafique, he is pretty good icl, he was good in the last ODI WC too, he's gonna be selected in my opinion, and if he plays, he will be good. Onto our openers, Fakahr's last dance, we all know how good he is on his day, saim aint in good form rn, but hopefully he picks it up, and we all know how good he is in ODI, what a talent, need to get back to his original form. As for Farhan, i dont want him to get selected, he isn't good in odis ngl, but for some reason I have a feeling PCB will select him for some reason, if they do, bad decision. Onto Agha Jee, I think he is worldclass middle order batsmen ngl in ODI, he will save us if our top order fails, what a player. Now onto Babar, like rn he is really good touch, idk how his batting will be under his test captaincy, see, yet to see in this form of Babar, hopefully he cooks, and Babar in good touch is always a good sign for Pakistan, inshallah he cooks. On Rizzy, he should be our main wk, no question needed, hopefully he is good touch going into the WC and in good confidence, should be starting all day. So yeah, this is what I think of our ODI squad, which I think PCB will select. It is looking really good, especially the top order. I wanna at least see us go into semis, hopefully we do well.

Cricket Discussion I love faheem for his t20i performances but to be honest he is a complete failure in ODI's and he shouldn't even be in the team on rotation (and who do we replace him with?)

Post image
13 Upvotes

a bowling average of 45 coupled with a batting average of 14 is downright abysmal, for comparison specialist fast bowler naseem shah has a career batting average of 23 in ODI's, although some nuance is there because naseem often stays not out but i would say they are on about the same level as odi batters, on the other hand we have lord hussain talat who is a very decent bat, but his 120 kmph thunderbolts along with his world class fielding and his ever reliable clutch gene like he demonstrated in the asia cup final makes me hesitant on taking him in the team as well, we need to produce a fast bowling all rounder for odis withing like 2 months time if we need him settled into the team before the wc, but it seems like almost everyone is a mediocrity, no one is really even a decent player in both disciplines, its either one or the other or neither

but anyways heres my shortlist for potential replacements (all of them with drawbacks):

jahandad khan

abbas afridi

muhammad shahzad

amad butt

i know a lot of u will say just take 4 specialist fast bowlers have to play but i would argue a non specialist spinner bowling 10 would be a bigger liability as when it doesnt spin the need for control increases that much which is why abrar must be there

Cricket Discussion My Fresh T20 XI for 2028 and beyond along with the reason I think these players are good investments and the roles i think would work best for them

Sameer Minhas: Technical attacker, potential to be a highly consistent attacking player, give him the jos butler template in this format, his focus should be measured risks

Sahibzada Farhan(c): Powerplay attacker, his focus should be high impact hitting, hes more of a volume batter rn but we saw with Multan sultans he can also play a highly destructive role with a consistent partner on the other end

Kamran Ghulam: An actual modern day anchor, shown potential to score runs at 150+ sr with inhuman consistency in domestic, should absolutely be given a run in the t20 team

Hasan Nawaz: Very flexible player, bats well at the death, can see the team through the 20 overs, can take the innings on his shoulder and bashes spin without being weak against pace

Usman Khan (wk): needed a wk, dont rate the guy but he has been the best in domestic for a while now, just give him the role to go at it honestly, afridi template go in and try to get the momentum towards us, i would say dont slog but hes a slogger tbh

Saad Masood: Rate this guy very highly as a middle order batter, scores quick runs, he has the ice cold vibes to him and hes just been absolutely brilliant for pak shaheens, should just pack it in with the bowling though, his leg spin is absolutely disgusting

Arafat minhas: second minhas bro, good finishing, frontline spinner with good accuracy, also aura and ice cold

Ahmed daniyal: good high velocity pacer, hes clutch and he offers a bit of depth with the bat, he can be trusted to take care of one end

Shaheen Afridi: a lot of u guys are blind sided because he just had his first bad t20 tournament in his t20 career, he literally carried us in asia cup 2025, wc 2021, wc 2022 etc, i still rate the guy in this format, he has proven to be a decent tailender as well

Ali raza: this is a bit reluctant from me since hes so young, on the days he gets it wrong he gets absolutely blasted around but hes also impactful on the days he gets it right, i feel he has pace and promise though, maybe he could come in after one more domestic season

Akif Javed: Bit of a hear me out here, he has a unique action, he bangs it into the pitch and gets a shit ton of bounce and swings it miles when the conditions are there, its literally the australia template

Bench: Abrar ( no 1 t20 spinner itw but its australia)

Abdul subhan (potential, hazelwood archetype)

Maaz sadaqat (saim ayub pro max)

Saad Baig (backup wicket keeper)

Cricket Discussion Just saw Stick To Cricket episode with Wasim Akram

Man, the guy has such eloquence, huh?

I know I'm probably a year late to the video, but the way he speaks, his memory of his career, and the respect he has for his team and his skippers and every other player with whom he's played with.

Guy is such a class act and a real funny character to just hang around with I guess.

PCT would need guys like him around to improve their quality of playing and the way they have to compose themselves on and off field.

Surely Wasim can change the dynamics of PCT.
