So abit of a background myself, for the past 2.5 years I was abroad and working professionally in a big bank in the United States before getting laid off due to the H1B sponsorship issue Trump introduced.

I studied engineering there at a Public Ivy, in Pakistan I studied my undergrad at (NUST/GIK, not disclosing some information due to privacy) and did my O Levels and A Levels privately with Straight A's in Peshawar. I've burnt out of fuel and tbh was happy coming home temporarily meeting my own people. Trust me the best people in the world I have met have been from Peshawar.

Right now I have alot of time on my hands, nm to do rather than bed rotting and doomscrolling (which I am glad after working like 80+ hours per week). This post isnt about bragging or some kind of flex, I wanted to reach people who I can help in any way, and trust me Pakistanis gatekeep alot. Anyone that gets merely successful do not want to see others in the same position, and often times they are gutted rather than being happy for others. So if you are a student, a graduate trying to maneuver professional life or someone interested in abroad grad applications, visa etc. Comment down below or shoot a DM i dont mind whatever you are comfortable with, I do tend to reply as soon as possible and will tru to address most of your queries.

I'm planning to move from Islamabad to Peshawar for around six months.

I'll be spending this time working on my freelance business while also sorting out my move to Turkey, so I wanted a change of environment. I also have a close friend in Peshawar, which is another reason I'm considering the move.

I don't know the city very well, so I thought I'd ask the people who actually live there.

I'm a single guy and work remotely as a web developer, so the place I rent will be where I live and work. My budget is somewhere in the middle. I'm not looking for anything luxurious, I'd rather have a simple place in a decent area than a nicer apartment in an area that doesn't suit me.

I'm actually looking for something small, ideally a single room, studio, or a portion that's enough for one person. If sharing with decent people is common and practical, I'd be open to that too.

A peaceful environment, reliable internet, and a neighborhood that just feels good to live in are probably the things I care about most. If there are areas where freelancers, students or working professionals tend to live that's a bonuss.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations on areas to look into, as well as any areas you'd avoid. If you've rented in Peshawar yourself, I'd love to hear about your experience too.
