Cat Picture - OC What’s going on with cats nowadays?
I remember when I was about 8yrs old in the early 80s we got a black cat named Ebony. That cat never had shots, no chips, never spayed and all she at was tender viddles, our scraps and drank water. That cat never got sick or been to a vet. She lived to 23yrs old. I got married and moved out and that cat was still alive. Once me and my siblings moved out we all got cats. They never had shots, spayed, neutered, chipped, only ate kibble, scraps and drank water and all lived past 20yrs old. Seems like every time I turn around I see a cat on here, FB or IG with some type of illness or doing strange stuff and they be so young. Including my boy I have now. Not even a year old and I’ve already spent a lot of money on vet bills due to him being sick. I’m not making this post to get down voted, or ruffle any feathers about spaying, neutering, chipping, shots, all this new foods, vitamins, supplements, etc. (my cat is in that category as well) It’s just to bring awareness to what I’ve noticed with today’s cats. So many seem sick and what’s causing it? I guess I’m just overwhelmed with my cat and all his ailments to be so young and I don’t know it it’s the vaccines, neutering him, chipping him, these boutique foods and all these supplements that’s causing this. I just remember way back when, having a cat that never got sick, never went to the vet and just ate simplistic lived a long time. Anyone else notice this?
