Like a lot of people, I'm someone that just moved from Stremio to Nuvio recently

At first glance, I loved Nuvio a lot and I really was happy with the funky features that I was welcomed with like multi-profiles and intro auto skipping. However the way I feel towards this app quickly changed once I started digging more into how I can install it into my LG TV, etc.

I found the official webOS app a bit laggy, so I tried to look for solutions for that and this led me to this subreddit

The first thing you see once you hop into this subreddit is posts? (I mean yeah that's obvious), but they're really unclear

For example I see a lot of strangers posting on here like they're official people related to Nuvio officially, but I click on the post and dun dun dunn, they're just a random who made a fork and is apparently talking like they mean the original app that I installed from the official website

I'm not meaning to be against the forks, I mean I'm a developer myself and god I love the world of open source and how people can maintain forks of things

However I mostly see forks of projects when a project completely dies or decides to "change license" so another group of people decide to keep it cool and maintain the cooler version of it

But for Nuvio, why?? why are there so many forks for a project that began recently? I just feel that people are misunderstanding the purpose of forks unless the owners of the official app hate contribution and don't like accepting pull requests

I see a lot of bugs on the official apps and I don't get why contributors don't submit their bug fixes as pull requests instead of forking the app entirely and confusing the hell out of people because they won't know which app to continue using, especially with how fast a lot of forks die

I really love Nuvio but I wish it was better at this point. If it keeps going like this I feel that it'll never get better and I wish they can put strict guidelines for these things so we can sort them out

I have installed nuvio official version , nuvio forked enhanced version and there is another enhanced version of nuvio (picture i have aubmitted).

Which is best amongst the nuvio , totally confusion

1) official nuvio = frequent app crashes.

2) nuvio fork enhanced = cloudstream repositories added

3) nuvio enhanced ( by luqmanfadlli) = some improvements

Hi everyone! I'm 14 years old and still trying to figure out how all of this works. I wanted to use TorBox, but it doesn't seem to be supported in my country, and I'm not sure why.

Are there any good alternatives to TorBox? My goal is just to help my dad watch his favorite movies, but I'm having a hard time understanding everything. If anyone could point me in the right direction or explain how these services work, I'd really appreciate it.

Since the app has now been removed from the store, I was looking for a way to watch via the browser, but all I could find was this:

Or any plans for them to create a player that is optimised for browser play across all devices?

Hey devs, incredible work on the app. I switched over fairly recently and I am blown away by just how seamlessly it performs.

I would like to request a feature - progressive seeking.

Example scenario - I’m trying to seek to the docking scene in Interstellar. It takes a good minute of me holding the fast-forward button before I get there.

It would be ideal to have it behave in a progressive manner, i.e. the fast-forwarding accelerates the longer the user holds the button, allowing them to seek through long movies significantly quicker.

What’s up, everyone? I’ve been using Nuvio for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been great! The community has been awesome and always willing to help.

One thing I’ve been curious about is how everyone uses their library. Do you mainly add your favorite movies and shows, keep up with current stuff, or use it for something else entirely?

Basically I want 2 separate categories in the same "Recommended" folder for 2 separate accounts with their own recommendations . In pic 4 and pic 6, they r both the same but different accounts. I want them to be independent of one another

Does trakt token expire every 24 hours and I have to keep logging in every day, or am I doing it wrong.

Im looking for the best addon or way to setup aiostreams to find as much good links for asian movies / shows as possible. I have usenetstreamer set up for german content and use general aiostreams setup but cant find the latest movies / shows. When i find one i get no usable links.

Using FireTV on a tv that supports dolby vision. I was watching a show when I noticed that some scenes were very dark compared to the following. Like during dialogue the camera would change sides and one scene would be way darker than the other. I went to Apple TV (the fire tv app) which the show is on and just like nuvio i got the dolby vision icon but instead it did not have the same problems as nuvio where the colors/brightness was inconsistent. Anyone know the fix?

Hey everybody! I’m using Nuvio and it’s been very slow to load the streams both before I can see the options and after I click one. I’m currently using AIOstreams through Tantaro SEL setup ( I used one of the online setup tools ) but I heard about something called TB Instant? I use Torbox as well. I’ve heard a bunch of things like Pengu and Comet and others. How do I get either TB instant or whatever will be the fastest? It also seems like it takes a long time to load subtitles as well, but I never use them so it could probably load in the background while I’m watching. Thanks!

Seem to be getting a lot of buffering on my Shield when playing DV files, HDR works perfectly fine but DV are now buffering every 10 seconds. This has only just started happening on the past couple of updates. They worked perfectly fine before. From what i can see no settings have changed in Nuvio so not sure what to try. Has anyone else found this?

edit : Also working perfectly on my Ipad and phone, so it seems to be isolated alated to the the Andriod TV version as far as i can tell. Also tested playing the files in Wuplay and Arvio and they work fine there as well .

4. What is the actual problem?
When I use Skip Intro, it will sometimes break the video player. The video either freezes or gets stuck and I can’t resume playback properly. The issue seems to be related to the audio pipeline because if I change the playback speed (for example 1x → 1.25x → 1x), playback starts working again. However, if the stream originally had Dolby Atmos, after doing this the Atmos audio is lost and falls back to another audio format.

5. Steps to reproduce the issue
Start playing a TV episode.
Wait until the Skip Intro button appears.
Press Skip Intro.
Occasionally the player breaks and playback can’t continue normally.
Change playback speed and playback resumes, but Dolby Atmos no longer works.
It doesn’t happen every single time, but it happens often enough to be annoying.

This appears to be related to audio handling, since changing playback speed restores playback but disables Dolby Atmos. It feels like the player isn’t correctly reinitializing the audio stream after using Skip Intro

I'm convinced I'm doing something wrong here because I can't find any other reports of this in the issue tracker or on this subreddit.

I just decided to give Nuvio a whirl last night coming from Stremio and installed it and my one addon, AIOStreams, that has been configured on my Stremio setup for a while without issue. So far, so good and a big kudos to the dev team for all their hard work on this!

My issue: I added a series to my library and manually marked the first 4 episodes as 'watched'. Now, whenever I go to the library and into this series, I can click to start episode 5 if I want, but I can't tap down to the episode list to scroll through the remaining episodes.

If I click right to the Season 2 pill, I can then click down to scroll through the episodes horizontally, but when I'm on Season 1, clicking down does nothing. The only difference being the first 4 episodes on Season 1 are watched (manually toggled as such.)

Again, this is in the library view, if I go in via 'continue watching' on home, it seems to work, but before I go filling up the library, I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong.

Whenever I press esc or click the x mark while watching, the screen goes black and the only way to close the app is force kill in the task manager and when I try to close forcefully it just goes to the not responding screen. Does anybody have the same issue?

I’ve just switched to using Nuvio on Windows from Stremio, especially the UI. The only thing that’s been a bit of a pain is that the audio is always so low, even when I turn it up to the maximum volume. I initially thought it might be a problem with Torrentio, so I tried different scrapers and watched various movies, but it was the same issue. I’ve never had this problem with Stremio. Could you please help me out? Thanks!

It seems (unless I've missed it in the settings somewhere) that there does not seem to be any option in the Subtitles settings to set the thickness of the outline around subtitles (just a ON/OFF toggle for the outline itself).

If possible, it would be nice to see this functionality added to make subtitles that much more customizable and make it comparable to other apps.

Use the duck stream setup and it's great for a quick start, but want to change the default collections mainly so that I can see content sorted by network and streaming service. I installed Kaptain's and it has the categories, but its not pulling any content. It says no add-ons needed so I didn't add anything else, but is there something I'm missing?

Also - by default this won't pull any adult content in right? I know some of the quick start apps make you select no adult but I wan't to make sure nothing comes in by accident lol.

I think it would look way cleaner and be useful to me, because I just dont need 2160p when Streaming on my Phone. A group of 2160p and so on, and when I click on it the available Streams fold out. Is it possible? I use Xperience and AIO
