My house is all hardwoods and I take comfort in knowing there is no secret filth.

Yes, our dog hair is easily spotted on our hard surface floors and requires constant vacuuming.

My husband had the ceiling fan on, and dog hair was drifting like snow.

Oh we vacuum daily because it’s easily noticeable and I have asthma.

Same but no vac. I want a little robot to ride around taking care of it. Rabbit here.

I have a spot in my living room that spins the hair like a record player

Who doesn’t have area rugs and runners on their hardwood floors though?

They said that there's no secret filth, not that there's no filth at all. Your response doesn't make sense.

Bro the filth is not a secret. In mid-summer, pick the time of day, there is no hiding the tumbleweeds of an Aussie and a BC in the same house. I can spend an hour vacuuming every last corner but as soon as I wrap it up and walk down the hall there are tumbleweeds creeping out from places I already vacuumed.

My partner is very particular about house cleanliness. The first thing she did when we moved in, got rid of all the carpet.

I think tile is even better because aside from just vacuuming you can also easily mop it without worrying that the wood would warp, but yeah, both are better than the dirt and microbe collector that is the carpet. Carpet flooring is literally the epitome of a health hazard.

I have wood with rugs. Both are gross with my senior cat.

Rug: see above. Wood: It's a floating floor, and every seam between the boards is a place where vomit goes to die and make a new home.

If I ever put in a new floor and I still have live pets, I'm going for 1950s kitchen linoleum. Cheap as F, no grout, no texture, no seams.

Our house having zero carpet was definitely a selling point! I came from an apartment with god knows how old carpet. 🤢
