r/Iran stands with Iranians in defending our country’s national sovereignty
Dear readers,
We hope that you are safe and well. Some of you have asked us about the protests, and we’d like to share the following statement with you.
Peaceful protests by Iranians expressing legitimate grievances have once again been hijacked. Violent riots are being encouraged and enabled by foreign-backed actors immune to their consequences. They threaten the safety and security of every Iranian and cause costly damage to public infrastructure and an economy already suffering from crushing sanctions.
The genocidal Israeli regime killed 1,200 Iranian civilians in June. Those who stood silent and even cheered on these killings now claim to act in defense of Iranians as they call for even more attacks on Iran.
Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Iraq, and scores of other countries, most recently Venezuela, attest to the consistent outcome of foreign interference: chaos, instability, destruction, and immeasurable suffering.
Foreign-backed riots in 1953 changed the course of our nation’s trajectory. Let’s not be doomed by repeating tragic history.
No one can trick us into welcoming attacks on Iran.
Long live Iran, Iranians, and Iranian sovereignty!

Why is Iran attacking gulf states but not Israel right now?
The US/Iran ceasefire has clearly broke, with the US attacking Iran, and Iran retaliating against gulf states. But why do they target the gulf states like Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, and Jordan, where Israel is the larger enemy here? Doesn't it make sense to strike them as well for the attacks against them? They're taking a more active part in the attacks against Iran than the gulf states are.

Remote working in Iran
Hi all
I am headed to Iran soonish and might be on the brink of a remote job offer in the UK before I go. Do I entertain the idea at all or just assume 99% of remote work is impossible in Iran for 100% of the time due to the firewall and internet outages there?
FYI I am dual heritage, dual national, bi-lingual and have been to Iran tons of time and aa recently as a year ago. In case these details help to advise me. Also, I have no intent to break the law there. I hardly support the usage of VPNs, let alone naughtier stuff.
Thanks in advance for all insights, experiences and advice!
If Ahmadinejad was a spy for Israel why was he at Khamenei’s funeral?
According to the latest New York Times article it seems that mossad recruited him and gave him financial support.
Also wasn’t he presumed dead all along?
Could that be a disinformation campaign?

They have God’s might.
Iran fights alone,
With super drone,
Nobody helps him,
Yet his hope stays on.
Bombs are in the sky,
His hopes are high,
Winds blow against him,
Cowards howl nearby.
Iranians are patriots,
They keep Iran in heart,
Nobody can defeat them,
They have God’s might.
Ladies are ready to sacrifice,
Kids are ready to sacrifice,
Every drop of blood flows,
To burn the devil’s greedy vice.

Gesture of friendship and care in Iranian culture?
I work at a coffee shop in the United States, and I recently started connecting over small gestures and conversations with a customer who has become a regular. Today, I learned that she is from Iran and is about to return there next week for 3 months.
Even though we don't know each other really well, our dynamic has reached a level where I will miss seeing her almost every day, and I feel concerned for her safety and her family/friends' well-being. What with everything going on with the US-Iran War, I would like to give some kind of parting gift the next time I see her that carries the sentiment of "please be safe, there is someone out here who cares for you as a human", but I don't feel familiar enough with Iranian culture to know what would be appropriate in this specific situation.
Just something small, from one friend-stranger-acquaintance-human on this earth, demonstrating care and support.
Thank you. 🕊️

Visiting Iran after turning 18 without military service
I am an Iranian citizen in Canada that recently turned 18 and want to visit my family in Iran. I have not been able to for almost 4 years now due to the conflict and several other reasons but now since I’m 18 how does visiting Iran work? I heard that I could possibly visit for up to 3 months a year with a stamp in my passport. If anyone has any experience with travelling to Iran and not doing military service please let me know how it went and ways I can do that?

My grandfather is buried in the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masumeh (SA) in Qom, and I am very eager to have a picture of his gravestone. If anyone is in Qom or visits the shrine, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take a photo of his grave marker for me.
Grave Details:
Deceased Name: Late Haj Seyyed Ahmed Borqei (known as Haj Amin)
Father's Name: Son of Seyyed Mohammad
Year of Death: 1361 Solar Hijri (approx. 1982)
Exact Burial Location: Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masumeh, inside the Bala-Sar Mosque.\*
Thank you so much in advance for your kindness and help.

Did Iran achieve deterrence?
Should Iran have maintained the blockade longer? People like Dmitri Lascaris of "Reason2resist" and Karim Bettache of "BettBeat" are concerned that absent significantly more distress being felt on the domestic front in the United States, there is a great danger that we will be right back where we started in February a year and a half hence. That the US will just use that time to stockpile reserves and make itself more resilient to any new disruptions to Hormuz, or even Bab Al Mandeb for.that matter.

Who could’ve predicted this outcome: Iran's IRGC announces it has destroyed the US command and control center for Western Asia and the US Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan with 10 ballistic missiles, per Tasnim.

Human ocean is a good description of what I experienced at the Leader's funeral procession in Mashhad
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This was the part of Imam Reza boulevard that was NOT busy. In the busy parts we were basically being moved by the crowd this way and that way.
I took the metro there and got off on 17 Shahrivar station because Shariati, Basij, and Imam Khomeini stations were closed due to the huge number of people, otherwise we should have gotten off at Basij.
So I walked to maidoon Basij. Half way to maidoon Basij it got like this ("not busy"), then in maidoon Basij it became a human ocean where you stop making the decisions of which way to go and just hold on for dear life. I've never been part of a mosh pit but from what i heard about them this is something on a whole other level, like comparing waves in a bath tub to a tsunami.
Then this video is maybe 1 block north of maidoon Basij on Imam Reza Blvd. I went all the way to the Haram, and it took me about 3 hours to go that distance, neshan says it should take 25 minutes to walk it and about 2.1 kilometers.
Along the way I bumped into some brothers from england/Iraq/etc because I heard them speaking english on a side street (I needed a short break from the crowds), but we got separated when we went back to Imam Reza blvd.
Anyone saying there is only 1 or 2 million is insane. Easily 5 million. Easily. Probably 10-15 million amd I mean 10 million while I was there.
I mean it was full, packed, no room. Like I said this video is the "not busy" part of it. And people were constantly coming and going by the hundreds of thousands, so maybe only 5 million might fit, but every hour there must have been at least a few hundred thousand leaving while double that are entering.
My way back I went on sheikh Toosi and then 17 Shahrivar back to the same station and went back home. 17 Shahrivar blvd is half a kilometer in the wrong direction, but there were massive crowds just not packed tight.
Id post more videos but reddit only allows one single video and I dont think we can post pictures or videos in the comments.

Does Iran gives nationality ?
I am from Pakistan the war in Iran changed my prespective of the country as a whole not just how Iran resisted against it's enemies but also the way Iran in general is much better than Pakistan morally and in general. As someone who cannot afford western countries I thought Iran might be a good option to live permenently. The only negative aspect of Iran I see is bad economy and a few minor aspects I just wanted to know is there anyway to live in Iran permenetly without renewing visa every time? Well I am definately sure Iran does give a chace to study as I know a girl on social media doing MBBS in Iran though she is Pakistani.
