General Discussion What's with the audio of The Open broadcast?

The audio at the Open is horrible. You rarely hear the player's swing or contact. The crowd sounds like it's in some kind of echo chamber. Then there's the cherry on top of some random person coughing in the background.

Yeah it is rough. I noticed the same thing at the Genesis. Maybe the Euros have some ‘real sights and sounds’ approach? Gimme fake birds chirping all day.

Glad I am not just going crazy. The USA Network broadcast is making me nuts. Announcers sound fine, everything else has like a metallic echo.
