Advice Weird behavior from my cat recently. Anyone know what's going on

At first I thought she was gonna show me something inside the box, but there's nothing other than a nylon bag. She also runs to it when I get near it as well, and also keeps biting my hand and tries to drag me into it. What's going on? Never in my life have I seen my cat doing this.

Yeah people (myself included) always talk about how their cat would kill them if they got the chance, but my cat has never hurt me or attempted to other than when im getting her belly which is my own fault.

To anyone reading this and getting the wrong impression from a cat sleeping on someones face - no, it is NOT an attempt to strangle someone (despite what some of my relatives say).

Look at a pile of kittens, or a cat trying to get comfy in the cold. They sleep buried in other cats, or cover their own nose with a tail. THEY don't get suffocated with fur across the nose, they don't get that it might suffocate you. If the kitty is covering your nose in a bad way, "rock the boat" until they settle down where you can tolerate them.

I have allergies and cannot sleep with a cat on my face. With patient redirection I have gotten several cats over time to understand I will happily cuddle if they stay below waist level. One very special cat loved being under blankets and would cuddle in my armpit without any trouble. One of them got good enough at reading my reactions to see if the situation was comfy, that she figured out how to lay across my arms while I was playing video games and not mess with the controller at all. Very comf cat. Not trying to strangle nobody, just wanted warms.

Yer purrta his tribe, cats only sleep near those they trust with their lives, because they are at their most vulnerable. I'm glad he picked you, keep dr bimbleton full of fresh fish, and chicken breasts!

Sounds like the feral cat that showed up coming up on 2 years ago now (in October, actually). Took me like 6 months to get her to trust me enough to let me sit next to her while she ate. Then one day I just snatched her up and put her on my lap, and last night (most nights) she slept snuggled up underneath my chin lol.

My cat let me put my face on his belly, and he would starts to purr. Love the smell of his belly. Maybe you can try that too sometime.

From the moment I’ve acquired my cats as kittens, I’ve stuck my face right in the bellies and raised them with belly kisses. Now they’re huge tom cats and still roll on their backs for belly kisses. I still have a face.

We had a cat that would purr like crazy if you gave her raspberries on her belly, hahah. She loved it. But yeah any of the cats I've had or have will at the very least tolerate belly kisses if not love then.

When I discovered my girl did, it was like a lightbulb went off. She also loves rough petting, ruffles, and little bongos. My weird baby!

I did this with my boy. He loves raspberries on his belly 😂

Ha! Not always, Mon Ami. My last three cats (RIP Katie, Jack & Luna) let us rub their bellies. They’d flop on the floor and ask for belly rubs. I miss them so much!😔

My cat let me do this too!

Honestly I don't think any cat could convince me to do that, no matter how much I thought they trusted me

I do that all the time

You are lucky. I used to get the top of my head licked, because if l was grooming him, he was grooming me. His wife wasn't having any of it 😅🤣

I have one of each, LillyPig will let me pet her head and neck endlessly, but I am not allowed to elsewhere or she will bat my hand away. I would probably loose my hand altogether if I attempted to pet her belly. Miu Miu Von Monkeystein will let me pet her endlessly and often rolls over on her back when we are sitting on the sofa, encouraging me to use her as an armrest and pet her belly. Cats like people have different personalities, quite literally different strokes for different folks.

Miu Miu Von Monkeystein is just criminal behaviour, you should be ashamed XD

She is a repeat offender

That's why l let all of them pick me.

I feel the same about my recently adopted adult cat.

She accidentally hooked me and you could tell she felt remorse. She very patiently waited while I unhooked her from my flesh.

She's such a gentle kitty.

Cat may not kill you but if you died and they were locked in the house with you they would definitely eat you. A dog would starve rather than eat its owner. I think - no scientific evidence for this, just my feeling about it.

My cats only really scratched and play bit me when I am obviously playing with them, as in I am messing extra with their belly instead of just petting them. I am also the only person they do that with, with others they just attempt to get away, but they play bite me, never break the skin though.

If you were you but mouse sized, they definitely would.
