Advice Weird behavior from my cat recently. Anyone know what's going on

At first I thought she was gonna show me something inside the box, but there's nothing other than a nylon bag. She also runs to it when I get near it as well, and also keeps biting my hand and tries to drag me into it. What's going on? Never in my life have I seen my cat doing this.

She really likes that box and wants you to know. Don’t get rid of it

She wants him to play in the box with her and she can’t understand why he won’t get in the flipping box already!

The hand drag is like what a kid does when they want to show you something really cool

Either that or she's pregnant and wants him to build her a nest.

This was my first thought -- is she spayed?

I’d like to place the “Hop in” Simpsons meme where Mr. Burns draws a revolver on Mr.Smithers when he hesitates getting into the Sprooce Goose aeroplane.

Yeah, the kitty has found big fun in that box, and wants you to join,- can't quite figure out that you won't fit it. They are not geniuses- but soooo lovable!!

I've read that

1) Bears have insane smell that has dedicated receptors to sensing stuff like noradrenaline in the air, so they can literally smell fear

2) Cats have very bad sense of "scale". They have trouble understanding when something is "big" or "small" they only understand "danger" and "no danger"

(that's why a 3-kilo cat is comfortable around 700-kilo horses and is so chill that horses, nervous and skittish animals on average, are so chill with cats)

3) And that is why you see videos of cats attacking bears and bears retreating, because they see this little furry ball of fury squaring up to attack them, and their senses are like "Oh. Oh wait. This small thing. It is Not Afraid of me. AT ALL. This fight could end with injuries. Better retreat"

Not sure how true is the pp 1 and 3, the bears could just prefer retreat to confrontation and those cats could be scared out of their minds, but I love this image, and it would also explain to me why she's like "What do you mean you can't FIT in the box. Is simple. You squeeze and you in box. Humans, I swear..."

about time the owner gets a bigger box so both of them can fit 😂 i always love it when kitties exhibit kid/baby behaviors

My boy cat woke me up at 3am so frantic that I thought he was going to lead me to a house fire or one of his sisters in distress. I jumped out of bed and he instead led me to a place that 6 hours earlier had been a pile of bubble wrap, but I had taken it to the garbage. Sorry, buddy.

mine does this with one random grocery bag, she zooms, flops, then acts normal like nothing happened. cats just get the zoomies and vibe with their favorite objects

Both my cats have favorite "toys" that they throw around and go wild with. They will then present said toy to you. You only to admire it. Touching it offends their ancestors. One of them has a little stuffed Lambchop, and my boy Craig has his piece of string.

When we were new cat owners, my wife threw away one of our cats' favourite box. She screamed for at least two days. She really loved that box

We've had various ugly boxes in our living room about 20 years. Fortunately, wifey puts them away when we get visitors!
