Mourning/Loss I just lost my cat
I found charlie paralyzed this morning and rushed him to the vet where he was diagnosed with Feline Aortic Thromboembolism (FATE), a blood clot to his spine. The only option was to put him down. Im devasted.
I adopted Charlie and his sister Lucy in copenhagen 5.5 years ago at 9 months old, moved them to malta with me and last year brought them back to new zealand where they have been living the best life.
Luckily his suffering was minimal, but im bereft. He was my little buddy.

I'm sorry for your loss OP, in an otherwise healthy cat this must be very sudden for you. Please take comfort in knowing you made him feel loved, he's such a beautiful boy 🌹 🫂

I’m sorry. I had the same thing happen to my little dog. She had a stroke. Very rare, but it does happen. Paralyzed on her left side. It was awful. It’s a terrible way to say goodbye so I know your pain. I talk to her every day. I’ll see her again.

I'm so sorry for your loss, especially with the circumstances you found him in. As tough & devastating as these kinds of losses are, you did the best thing for him considering everything. I lost my buddy 4.5 months ago & it still hurts but just remember that you gave him & his sister a life of love and that matters deeply. I will send you my prayers and condolences for your loss, you will be reunited with him in the future. He knows you loved him! Again, so sorry for your loss!

He was handsome boy!! I’m sorry for the loss of your sweet boy Charlie especially so unexpectedly and tragically. He is still with you watching from above and memories in your heart. And he knows how much you love him and how much he loves you. You will see each other again. Charlie will be running and playing free from pain just as he was before. Sorry for your loss, I’ve lost two cats during my life but the first one really sticks with ya, it gets better as time goes on

That sounds awful! I have had seven cats, and have seen them all into fairly old age. Can’t imagine the devastation of coming across them in a poorly way at a young age! 💔

So sorry for your loss. It's now time to pass along his loving spirit to another kitty, either sitting lonely in a shelter, or roaming your neighborhood, cold and hungry. Once you do this, you'll be blessed with love that will give you the will to move forward.

:( Sorry for your loss. I have a soft spot for tuxedo cats, Charlie looks like such a cool cat who lived a wonderful life of lazing around in the way only cats can.
I also have a tuxedo cat who just happens to be named Lucy too! And also a stray tuxedo cat that usually shows up twice a day (breakfast + dinner) that I've named Mr. Tuxedo
Usually the cats I see with health problems are the more exotic breeds or hair patterns, so I was hoping that tuxedo cats are less likely to suffer from acute conditions.. Guess that was not a correct generalization =\

They knew how much you loved them and I believe we will see our babies again someday, as the rainbow bridge poem goes ♥ They will be waiting for you when that time comes.
My husband said it best, "we gave them a home, a safe place, lots of love till God called them back to his home, because he missed them. Now he cares and loves them while we care for others and love them till God calls them home, we will see them again someday, till then lets help, love and protect all those we can til God calls us home too, then we will be reunited."

You know, I fell apart when my cat passed. Been through so much. I went to 2 different cardreadings in a small town. One of ladies was known as a witch and had been around forever. Charged me nothing..told me my cat was in my mom's arms and very fat and purred constantly. She said my mom was taking care of him until I got " Home" The 5 other things she told me came true so, I believe. ( she also said my cat thanked me for letting him get away from his pain)
