What is your view on the Soviet architectural legacy in Yerevan? Don't you agree that building in Tamanyan’s style would have further enhanced and emphasized the city's unique, original identity?

Obviously I'm politically isolated in the country but I guess I do have insider knowledge. Idfk I'm mainly bored.

Yes the genocide absolutely happened and it was a genocide.

Law / Օրենք Has anybody been successful at getting the new 2 year warranty for anything?

Upvotes

Homeplex mall and innotek say the law is fake and they aren’t giving out more than 1 year warrenty because the chinese supplier onky gives 1 year warrenty.

I showed them the law on arlis, still couldn’t get any other reaction than them thinking I’m crazy :/

So anybody know any stores that sell electric tools and will give me my 2 year warranty?

Armenia by descent question

Upvotes

My mother recently passed away and, upon receiving documents, I found out more about my grandfather. Sergio Nasarow, born in Armenia, died a year after I was born. He married my grandmother sometime before/during WW2, and my mother was born in Italy. Sergio did become naturalized at some point in the United States where he passed.

The only documentation that I have so far are immigration papers and such, showing my grandfather's ethnicity, though I have no birth records yet. Trying to look around and find it.

Are citizenship lawyers able to search records and find them? Do I even have a case?

Just traveled to Dilijan from Yerevan - there was a heavy fog on the mountain pass and the window in the taxi was open - I swear it was the best air I've ever breathed.

I would LOVE to bike in Yerevan with a proper biking infrastructure. Is adding dedicated lanes on the agenda? Using cars sucks and is draining:(

Looking for feedback: would you use a “Zillow for Armenia”?

My family and I recently searched for a property, and I found the process surprisingly difficult. Platforms like List.am offer plenty of listings, but it’s hard to understand what living in a specific area would actually be like—or whether an asking price reflects the property’s real value.

I’m exploring an idea for a service that helps people research a property and its neighborhood before making a decision.

If I'm missing something and there is such project — would like to check, explore and use it :)

For example, alongside listings it could show:

  • Nearby schools and kindergartens, including available ratings/reviews
  • Hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies
  • Average price per square meter in the area or sub-area, so buyers can better judge whether a property is fairly priced
  • Public transport access and commute options
  • Air quality, noise, green spaces, and other environmental factors
  • Safety, utilities, internet availability, parking, supermarkets, and other useful local details

The goal is not to replace listing platforms, but to make property decisions more informed—something closer to Zillow, but adapted for Armenia.

Would this be useful to you? If yes, what information would matter most when choosing a home to buy, rent, or investment property? And what do you find frustrating about the current search process?
