PoliticsPH Gotta be the most racist thing directed to us Filipinos as of late.
Paging all DDS out there.
If kaya niyo pa ring depensahan ang pinaggagawa ng mga Intsik, then, my middle finger salutes you!
This isn’t a joke, nor should even be considered as one. This represents as to how the Chinese view us as a people, as a nation. While, they might intend it as a joke, it shows a kind of racism that is overt, by looking at the Filipino people as monkeys. Mere monkeys subject to the whims of great powers like the US and Japan.
Mapapamura nalang talaga ako sa mga DDS, kung pati iyan dedepensahan nila. Actually, I’d take offense if they even stayed silent on this issue. Do note na kayo rin, tinatrato na nila bilang unggoy.
If you continue to defend Chinese aggression, or these kinds of actions, how can you call yourself a Pilipino?
Tapang at malasakit diba? Tapang sa Pilipino, malasakit sa Tsekwa??

SocmedPH Petition: Hiwalay na Facebook para sa mga Fans ni Baterbonia
Can someone genuinely explain why so many Filipinos are revering Rene Baterbonia instead of simply letting the child rest in peace?
I’m seeing people make perfumes, idols, statues, and all sorts of memorabilia. I honestly don’t understand it. Is this just people chasing clout and engagement, or is there a deeper cultural, religious, or psychological reason behind it?
Why do we become so emotionally attached to someone we’ve never met? At what point does sympathy turn into a parasocial relationship? Is this our way of coping with tragedy, or are we unintentionally commercializing and romanticizing a child’s death?
I’m not asking this to mock anyone, I genuinely want to understand why this phenomenon happens and why it seems to resonate with so many people.

PoliticsPH Risa Hontiveros spearheads a Master Plan for Infrastructure and National Development to anchor government spending on long term planning that prevents corruption
ARTICLE BY MARK ERNEST VILLEZA
Senator Risa Hontiveros presides over the joint hearing of the Senate Committees on Economic Affairs, Public Works, and Finance on July 16, 2026, tackling bills which seek to establish the proposed Master Plan on Infrastructure and National Development (MIND) Act.
A proposed law requiring a long-term national infrastructure master plan could help stop multibillion-peso infrastructure scandals, including anomalous flood control projects, senators said Thursday as the Senate committee on economic affairs opened deliberations on the measure.
During the committee’s first hearing on the proposed Master Plan for Infrastructure and National Development (MIND) Act, chairperson Sen. Risa Hontiveros said the bill seeks to ensure that government infrastructure spending is anchored on long-term planning instead of politically driven priorities.
“The MIND bill is not just an important measure for economic development and sound government spending,” Hontiveros said. “If enacted, it could help prevent, and hopefully end, controversial infrastructure scams such as the flood control scandal.”
She said the proposal would require a continuing and comprehensive infrastructure master plan that would guide government spending and prevent billions of pesos from being allocated to projects that are poorly planned, unnecessary or fail to address the problems they were intended to solve.
According to Hontiveros, the measure aims to introduce reforms at the planning stage and ensure that budgets are aligned with approved development plans.
“When there is no master plan, the budget becomes an incoherent list of projects chosen not by community needs or economic potential,” she said.
The bill consolidates proposals filed by Senators JV Ejercito, Erwin Tulfo, Jinggoy Estrada and Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian.
Ejercito said the Philippines has fallen behind neighboring countries in transport infrastructure because of the lack of sustained long-term planning.
He noted that the country, once second only to Japan in development, now trails Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia by decades in railway and mass transit systems.
“For me, infrastructure is a matter of national survival,” Ejercito said, adding that institutionalizing long-term planning would allow strategic projects to continue despite changes in political leadership.
Tulfo, meanwhile, criticized what he described as the “back-to-zero” culture in government, where new administrations discontinue projects initiated by their predecessors.
He said the proposed MIND Act would ensure that priority infrastructure projects are completed regardless of political rivalries.
“For too long, infrastructure planning has largely been tied to the priorities of each administration,” Tulfo said. “If we have a master plan embodied in law, projects will continue regardless of who becomes president.”
At the close of the hearing, Hontiveros said the committee would convene a technical working group to refine the measure while considering concerns raised by resource persons, including avoiding overlaps with existing planning bodies, ensuring flexibility in implementing a 30-year master plan, strengthening coordination with local governments, and integrating key sectors such as agriculture, energy, housing and tourism.
She said another public hearing may be called if unresolved issues emerge during the technical working group’s discussions.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
CCP Has long been trying to take control of the country not just by force but by installing people like Digong, Alice Guo, Marcoletas, then backed by China friendly influences.
They’ve been doing this for decades.
That’s one reason I want her tax records, BIR reford, SALN and all her wealth to be open. Pretty sure they would fill up their bank accounts over the decades and not just while she’s a VP.

PoliticsPH Do not let your doubts influence other citizens
I mean no offense to anyone posting this recently in this sub or any sub for that matter. I get it, nakaka-worry yung state ng bansa naten. Ang dali malunod sa negativity kasi nakakatakot talaga how ang dali ma-manipulate ng mga botante and how it "seems" na mas marami yung mga DDS. Pero please, these types of posts lower voter morale.
Do not lose hope. Remember, most of these people you see online are trolls, hired jackasses to hype up these demons of a politician. May nagagawa kahit papaano yung impeachment trial, kahit mukhang walang hope. Even if hindi talaga nila siya ma-impeach, nakakasira ’yan sa image ni Sara and her goons. I mean, look at Robin and how his komunista remarks backfire on him. Not to mention there is a chance na kasuhan sina Sara after this.
My point lang is that any action, no matter how small, may have an effect. May progress tayo kahit papaano. So please, let's do our part. Let us not lower voter morale; do not spread more doubt. We still have hope; just speak up, fight, and encourage others as well.

PoliticsPH The Silence and Scandals of the Cayetano Clan

Long before the controversies surrounding the Cayetanos’ handling of the 2019 SEA Games, the Cayetano family had already left a legacy of alleged overreach, overspending, and political dominance. Their influence crosses through decades, beginning with the patriarch, Rene Cayetano, and branching out into a network of power that has gripped tightly on Taguig City and the national political stage.
Rene Cayetano, a lawyer and radio broadcaster well-known for his show Compañero y Compañera, was the first member of the Cayetanos’ political dynasty. He ran on a platform of public service and legal reforms and was elected senator in 1998 under the Lakas-NUCD party. The family’s political aspirations continued after Rene’s death in 2003, signaling the start of this family’s long overdue term.
His son Alan Peter Cayetano, at 27 years old, started his political career as a Taguig councilor in 1998, the same year Rene entered the Senate. The family’s strategic simultaneous presence in both the local and the national government was established at this period in time. Alan’s ascent to the position of congressman in 2001 sealed the family’s expanding power.
As if two were not enough, the oldest daughter, Pia Cayetano, followed in her father’s footsteps and became a senator in 2004. Pia advocated landmark laws including the Reproductive Health Law and the Expanded Maternity Leave Act, promoting causes like women’s rights and public health. Although these accomplishments may be blinding, the controversies and accusations surrounding the Cayetanos eclipse these supposedly redemptive acts.
The progressive branding for Pia Cayetano moved backward as she remained silent on some of the loudest issues under the Duterte administration such as the ABS-CBN shutdown where she withdrew her signature and refused to give comments. This refusal to push against attacks on press freedom signals that she has no spine to stand for the progress she claims to champion. Pia’s covert cooperation was equally as revealing as her brother, Alan Peter, who served as Duterte’s Foreign Affairs Secretary and then Speaker of the House in a more overt capacity. Moreover, despite growing evidence of corruption, human trafficking, and the detrimental effects of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) on local communities, she remained unconvinced when the government permitted their expansion. There were no words needed as time ultimately became a truth teller as at present, Pia Cayetano is the principal author of POGO Law, RA 11590, and her co-author was no other than Imee Marcos.
