The obsession over anything Messi does is crazy. Imagine that thet want to copy even a random picture from a charity that coincidentally became popular.

•

u/avantgarde000 27m ago

They want to replicate it for their own delulus!

Simple Penaldo has bots making this to try and divert from his rape charges.

I hope credible journalists debunk more false narratives, manipulated images, political conspiracies and lies propagated by PR smear campaign, bots, paid farm tro//s just to destroy one’s reputation.

There is a picture of 2 year old Ronaldo holding newly born Messi. I will share when I find it.

It was like a charity campaign that Barca did with unicef so not only Messi but other players did the photoshoot as well and families had a chance to do the photoshoot via lottery.

Just the craziest insane coincidence that Messi got to do the photoshoot with baby Yamal who won the lottery and now facing off each other in the final with one being the oldest of his team and another being the youngest with each held as the best player in their team respectively. Just insane

Another crazy thing, Arg and Spain haven't had a official match with each other since 1966 wc. No official match in 60 years between the country is now happening in wc final is crazy on top of all this.

Yes but why does he have to wash a fucking baby? Can’t he just hold it?

u/ZippyDan 1h ago

No "official match" since 1966? I don't believe this.
No World Cup match since 1966: yes.

Nope, no official match at all in any tournament these 60 years. Only some friendlies, I know i was pretty shocked as well hearing this.

Really doesn’t sound real considering they are giants of footballing nation.

Also that 1966 wc match was the first and last official match ever between these two until now so this will be the 2nd time only these nations play each other officially in the history of football.

Those are friendlies, not official matches and the last was in 2018.

•

u/Curt_Dukis 58m ago

depends on the use of the word official

•

u/WhiteHoodieU9 50m ago

I mean even the article you linked shows all matches as “friendly” except the 1966 wc one.

Really don’t get the confusion that you have about whats considered official and friendly.

•

u/Curt_Dukis 43m ago

i don't see what makes a 'friendly' unofficial. moot discussion.

•

u/whyamicookinsis 18m ago

Because there’s a big difference between a friendly match and an official match in soccer???

•

u/jwag626 16m ago

Players can play in a friendly match and still switch countries after that. They are “capped” once they play an OFFICIAL match. Not sure where your confusion is. If a match doesn’t tie a player to a country, it’s not official.

•

u/Curt_Dukis 13m ago

afaik goals in friendlies still count officially. why would they count if a friendly was not somewhat 'official'? are they meeting on some underground backyard? are the matches not organized by the respective national federations?

he had a bonus in his contract with barca that had a quota for a certain number of local babies washed.

There was a whole lawsuit about it with LaLiga later on that made contract bonuses have to be tied to on the field performance, but that was more after Suarez's bonus for sheeps sheared

That's just so fucking weird 😭 everyone talking about how crazy it is that he's a pro footballer now while I think it's way crazier that a pro footballer is bathing some random kid 😭

You really believed the guy you replied to? Boy are you gullible?

Truth is that it was a UNICEF charity campaign where poor families in the Barcelona region won a contest via lottery to participate and make a calendar with the Barcelona players.

Different Barcelona players got paired with different babies to make a calendar and Messi happened to be paired with Lamine Yamal, Messi was just a 19 year old in this and he was pretty shy so apparently the photographer thought of a way to have them interact and have it seem natural, so he brought his daughter’s bathtub and did the bathtub photoshoot with him and his mom.

Why exactly a bathtub photo shoot? I have no fucking clue, I’m not as artistic as others so maybe a photographer can clue us in but please don’t make this out to be some weird creepy shit, it’s clearly just an innocent interaction and a campaign to help the economically disadvantaged community of Barcelona.

Newborn photography is a thing. You take professional pictures with your baby, doing standard "baby things" like bathing, swaddling, etc. I've never understood it myself, but it's a thing.

But yeah, obviously, the choice to do this kind of traditional baby photoshoot with a fucking football team was an interesting one 😂

This can’t be real 😂

On r/aislop there’s a video of ishowspeed giving birth to Ronaldo’s kid and it’s Messi.

AI has long been part of the shite patter like “penaldo” and “pessi” in the humour-vacant droning of 18 year old brainrot kids arguing about them online.
