After a week away on vacation the grass grew enough to add some design. Neighbor across the street likes to send me pictures.

I bought my first house last winter and this is my first year ever mowing (literally grew up in apartments in a metro my whole life, mowing is new).
Bought myself an electric mower- got a push one because I'm a newbie and realized what a self-propelled one was weeks later. Bought a striping kit as well. Front yard I kept it simple and back yard I experimented with some diagonals. Might spice it up in the front next mow.
Since we bought the house and the snow melted, I have filled a pretty big hole the old owners left from a tree that fell (in the first picture you can kind of make it out)- need the grass to grow. I have gotten most of the weeds that were growing pulled, water regularly and hoping to reseed in the fall.
Midwest living in case that needs to be said- Any tips for this newbie would be welcomed and appreciated!

Here is one of my YouTube Shorts! I just started edging and trimming some properties near my house this fall.
I'm finishing up school in the spring, and hoping to make some yards around my college town look better than when I arrived. Please check out my channel! It means a lot.

The outfield is just starting to look real nice for the season. Infield is still a little behind catching up quickly.
