Im sorry but what is this hedge placement

u/theoffsideking 22h ago

It does look weird, I agree. But the video is impossible to look away from.

u/Da-Bonk 22h ago

it's because of that red chainsaw that radiates with WH vibes šŸ˜„

White House?

6

u/Saetric 22h ago

Maybe the homeowner lost a bet, and now he’s trying to hedge them.

6

u/PrimaryClear2010 19h ago

It slows down mother in law

5

u/VelvetAnte731 21h ago

The hedge claimed half the sidewalk and nobody challenged it.

5

u/DeemonPankaik 15h ago

Slows down any incoming attackers or delivery drivers.

Some people have more dollars than they have sense.

Defends against VBIEDs

2

u/dilbertdad 20h ago

it reminds me of something i would design (weird and poorly placed)

1

u/HeadyReigns 17h ago

It's a barrier to keep drunk people from walking up to the door.

1

u/DontTreadOnMe83 16h ago

It's a modern art piece, you wouldn't get it...

1

u/ResidentArt3 13h ago

yeah that one corner looks way sharper than the rest

-3

u/ufffd 21h ago

are you so in a rush that you can't meander for a few yards? is it that bad to sway your path left and right a little bit around some shrubberies?

6

u/PeanutGallry 20h ago

Sure, now add groceries in both arms or an armoire.

-2

u/ufffd 20h ago

those are probably goin to and from the driveway

Was thinking the exact same thing

u/chefguy47 23h ago

That guy is great at his job and it’s satisfying to watch, but I don’t think I’d want to be an owner of these types of hedges.

46

u/Previous-Wonder-6274 22h ago

he’s not even that good at it. the lines aren’t even strait.

16

u/HipToTheWorldsBS 19h ago

Cane here to say this. This dude is extremely mediocre at his job and this isn't even remotely satisfying. They're are videos of some serious magicians out there who cut perfectly flush and smooth lines

3

u/chefguy47 22h ago

The other 2 look straight, so maybe the video ended before he was finished?

8

u/Previous-Wonder-6274 22h ago

the other two are definitely not straight. i would’ve been chewed out if i left hedges like that. see how they are bowed out in the middle.

2

u/violentvioletviolinz 18h ago

Right and can’t say for sure since I have no idea but it looks like he cut too deep on the top as well

1

u/dessertlover007 21h ago

yep I was thinking the same

This is r/mildlyinfuriating

I don't like unnaturally trimmed hedges anyway, but if you're going to do it, at least make it level and square.

1

u/res06myi 19h ago

Perfect. I hate it.

10

u/zakupright 22h ago

What a weird hedge layout, did they start a maze then abandon it?

9

u/Nan_ka_bf 23h ago

My barber gives me a buzzcut just like this

6

u/BrianGumble 23h ago

Now ensure it is flat with a stanley level.

4

u/CHRISTEN-METAL 22h ago

Looks like a nice place to sleep when you stumble home but are too drunk to unlock the door to your house.

15

u/TheGoldenTNT 23h ago

Why do people think this looks good? It’s nature. Same with lawns btw! Where are my damn wildflowers.

3

u/tofulo 16h ago

This dude has an obstacle course to get to his door

4

u/ziunim 22h ago

The exhaust fumes are so close to his face...

4

u/Crandleton 21h ago

Seriously it's terrible if you do it all day. Formaldehyde, benzene, particulate matter, awesome stuff. And not only are they loud as fuck, but machines like that cause way more pollution and unburnt fuel to enter the atmosphere than cars do.

California is getting it right by switching to electric lawn care machines. I don't see why anyone would be against it besides the business owners who already own gas powered machines and will have to replace them.

u/Xinferis_DCLXVI 22h ago

Well now I want spam musubi.

2

u/Ilyas_17 22h ago

Im sure this work can and should only be done by a professional but what if someone makes a mistake? How does one fix it?

1

u/DragonFireSpace 18h ago

It's like when you barber makes a mistake

1

u/Ilyas_17 6h ago

Ah shit šŸ’€

2

u/Panam727 21h ago

What a horrible walkway to a front door. Plus I see serious trip hazards with the rotting wood.

2

u/dessertlover007 20h ago

big MarioBros blocks of bushhes in the main path ...why?!

2

u/gibgod 20h ago

Why would you want mini little hedges that you ā€œhaveā€ to keep getting perfectly trimmed blocking the path to your house?

2

u/AgitatedStranger9698 13h ago

I hate lawn meatballs...

5

u/Alpacalende 23h ago

Oh no! The shrubbery is starting to look like actual foliage! We must send for the gardener at once!

1

u/ThisMeansRooR 23h ago

Looks fun when you have the Hedge Perfector Magnum XL 3000

1

u/atomic_ring 22h ago

I can smell this!

1

u/Chipbeef 22h ago

Hitler's landscaping style.

1

u/PoundKitchen 22h ago

Um, is his name Steve?Ā

1

u/Emmanuelzappa 22h ago

Barber, You may proceed sir...

1

u/SpiritCrawler 22h ago

Video has me hedging the entire time.

1

u/rhunter99 21h ago

I do like a neatly trimmed bush

1

u/Alive_Ice7937 21h ago

NEAT AND TIDY!

1

u/Mundane_Put_5780 21h ago

I (f) find it very strange how easily this turns me on!!!

1

u/phpfiction 20h ago

I have that tool, I can trim anything easily.

1

u/NerinaWisp 21h ago

What’s the name of this tool? I feel like I need one of these now

1

u/TommyWantWingy9 20h ago

The placement 🤮

1

u/Neloz 19h ago

The Guy after reading these comments…

1

u/JimMorrison71 18h ago

Was waiting for him to give it a little booty slap after he finished.

1

u/Erazzphoto 17h ago

That’s a damn sharp trimmer

1

u/eearmenow 17h ago

Everything reminds me of her

1

u/Links_Unk 6h ago

This isn't even oddly satisfying. It's entirely and extremely satisfying.

1

u/Competitive-Top4520 5h ago

Hedge setup is weird, but this guy is an artist w/ that chainsaw!

1

u/RedDirtNurse 1h ago

This surely ticks a box somewhere in the DSM-5.

1

u/Adorable_Chair7661 12m ago

Hmmm the near side looks a bit scalped too.

1

u/Limp-Negotiation5790 8m ago

My OCD ass could never do this, I’ll end up with nothing left after trying to even everything out.

1

u/greenrangerguy 22h ago

there's a whole sub dedicated to the art r/neatbush

u/Christinedrink 22h ago

1

u/prof_devilsadvocate3 22h ago

Will it be called as plant cruelty?

0

u/Mr_Tobes 22h ago

Love how he's such a craftsman he minimises the mess as well. That reduced cleanup time probably helps his bottom line a fair bit 😊

0

u/RusticBucket2 11h ago

ā€œYes! Now I have square bushes!ā€

Fucking regarded.
