Completed in 1842 for the London to Brighton Railway, the Ouse Valley Viaduct is 450 metres (1,475 ft) long and consists of 37 arches built from around 11 million bricks. Designed by engineer John Urpeth Rastrick with architectural input from David Mocatta, it remains in daily use over 180 years later.

Could’ve told me it was Bruce Pennington or John Schoenherr and I’d have believed them.

Edit: Schoenherr

But does it loom like a bird of doom as it shifts and cracks?

Modern architecture sucks so much compared to this. That’s so sad

You've managed to make this look like a Syd Mead concept piece for part of a futuristic city or something. Great work!
