This might be the biggest example of “incredible thing” and “shitty cameraman” I’ve ever seen

u/mellowmsgr01 6h ago

Serious! I still wonder what’s in there.

u/CrownsEnd 6h ago

At least the title still has a use now, surely what the cameraman had in mind

u/XBacklash 2h ago

Art imitating life: seventy percent of that tree remains unexplored.

u/drakythe 1h ago

Until there is a source found that is longer and reviews the details more this falls under the heading of “ai bullshit” for me, and the length of the video is half the reason why.

I follow a lot of woodcarvers on insta and it's unfortunately common for a lot of the ones who do these giant elaborate carvings to have half the video just being a weird presentation before just showing the work.

I mean, with all that buildup he did give you approximately 1/2 of a second to look at the things he wanted you to see.

u/DopeAbsurdity 56m ago

The audio is also shit!

u/Happy_Cry286 30m ago

When you cant afford a half-decent cameraman so you instead pay your friend a sandwich do the camera work.

u/Car-Crash-Diet 4m ago

So much intricate work and det-

Who the fuck cut this video?

41

u/ShiroGreyrat 3h ago

The same guy that cut the title

3

u/wytewydow 1h ago

we should have known from the title how this would go.

1

u/Big-Tennis2579 1h ago

And the tree ?

It should be illegal to cut a tree that old

They will face serious floods if they keep erasing their forests. This video is everything but cool and wholesome for me

( the workmanship and artistic skill is undeniable tho )

4

u/goose_gladwell 1h ago

Its just junk engagement spam, they cut the video so you will look it up and engage, and its most likely NOT even legit/completely false

1

u/wytewydow 1h ago

I would bet... that this tree was cut down because it was completely hollow inside, which is a good indication of dying tree syndrome.

u/Big-Tennis2579 54m ago

I hope you are right

If thats true i admit i judged too early

u/wytewydow 45m ago

also, that thing has been cut down for awhile. The metal fence right next to it, has seen some shit.

u/Big-Tennis2579 30m ago

I think the carving took like a year, yes

15

u/FightBackFitness 3h ago

they dead bruh they can't swim in wood

3

u/TheHumanoidTyphoon69 5h ago

Gotta roll it over I guess

4

u/MustangBarry 2h ago

I would have carved the outside of the tree so people can see it. This is just a ruse to get people to follow him into the tree. I don't trust him.

1

u/Yumi_in_the_sun 1h ago

If I had a nickel for every time somebody lured me into a tree and bonked me over the head with a shovel and ate my liver, I'd have two nickels. It's not a lot, but it's shocking that it's happened twice.

u/HollandsOpuz 39m ago

How many fucking livers you got? U had 2 and must have half of one left atleast.

u/Yumi_in_the_sun 37m ago

Look we don't talk about that.

1

u/Frohirrim 4h ago

I misread this as a man spent six years living in an underwater world inside a huge tree and was so confused where this video went.

Also, fuck the camera guy

1

u/Silverjeyjey44 4h ago

What happens when the tree starts to rot

1

-2

u/Kimb0_91 5h ago

That's so beautiful! You should credit the artist. Call them by name in stead of "a man". He deserves that! Who is this, does anyone know?

-2

u/BioFrosted 5h ago

"How is this underwater it's clearly - oh"

-2

u/sixteen89 5h ago
