That’s why everyone loves GabeN. Dude’s a multi-billionaire and uses his yacht money on his hobby, and actually outfitted and uses his yacht for real scientific ocean research. Most people don’t give a shit about billionaires who have a hobby and stay out of the spotlight. It’s when they start fucking with the rest of us that most people get rightly upset.
Edit: I’m not saying Gabe or Valve are saints. I’m explaining why most people don’t have any animosity towards them.
Gabe to me seems to have hit into the same vein as others like Keanu Reeves and Danny Devito. It's not necessarily about them being incredibly virtuous people, it's more about them behaving like normal people while having a very likable personality. They get slack and put on a pedestal for being the average man's 'horse in the race'
If there's one thing we can take solace in, it's that we know for a fact that that dickhead is fucking miserable, and no amount of additional wealth will fix that.

That's a fair point, but in that sense he made it more addicting for himself in that way. And the knowledge alone that someone so rich and powerful that could be doing anything he wants, is instead wasting his time brainrotting on something so vapid, just brings me joy.
I definitely think his image as a person opposed to a musician has been getting looked at more the last decade and people are realizing. I think his tragic death made people turn a blind eye for a long time.
I realised way too late that Yoko was just one of his victims. Don’t get me wrong she is absolutely a huge asshole in her own right but she didn’t choose to “disturb” the Beatles sessions with her presence, for example. He made her be there.
I think Lennon was just genuinely into her weird arts and performances for some reason, which is why he loved her. They shared the same extremely weird tastes and just clicked
'...some reason' perhaps being he needed to validate his belief that he was more 'special/gifted/a visionary' than Paul, George and Ringo. And thus shunning everything/everyone that didn't feed into this belief was his grandiose statement to the world 'proving' this.
The Get Back miniseries that Peter Jackson pieced together was really eye opening in that regard. Dude could not take anything seriously, and when he wasn't being actively antagonistic to literally everyone, he spent the whole time making the same 2 or 3 jokes over, and over, and over again. Showing up every day looking like his last shower was 3 months ago was icing on the cake. You could almost smell him through the TV lol. I don't know how they got ANYTHING done with Lennon around.
Paul was an incredible bandleader and motivator, the other two have admitted it plenty
Editing to add: there’s a very funny interview from around the time of Abbey Road where George admits that if it weren’t for Paul ringing them up every day, those last two albums never would’ve happened
Former dry cleaning employee here. Any white shirt that turns yellow is usually due to sweat or lotion penetrating rhe fibers.
If a shirt says machine was we would wash it in rhe washing machine instead of the dry cleaning machine. We do what the label says.
Rhe gross part of dry cleaning is your clothes are all mixed in with everyone else’s. Same with the washing machine. Someone could have put a yellow shirt in with the whites but that’s extremely rare.
It will also yellow if simply exposed to the sun (which is why many modern detergents have a blue-ish dye to counteract it, resulting in that purpley glow when exposed under blacklight)

There is apparently a thing about Japanese (and maybe most people of east asian descent) where they have an inactive gene that causes far less body odor. Importantly, they still sweat (that's a necessary part of cooling in us mammals) but they don't have the same chemicals that break down into the smelly bits.
My husband definitely sweats! But yes, no BO. When we first started dating I thought I was just too infatuated with him and that’s why I didn’t smell BO 😂
Yup, was friends with a Chinese exchange student in highschool and she definitely sweat like crazy, she just didn't really smell much at all when she did
