I'm slightly vexed My step mother I hate is literaly outside and she still forces AI "Music" to play for the last 3 hours, it's much louder live than the video shows

God dammit. I am so sorry to hear that. I remember yelling at my father when he blasted his music (not ai) in the early hours of the day (3am) when I had to wake up at 4am to get to work. After a month of doing it he stopped to keep the peace. lol

I was at a hookah bar recently, and we were like, has the same song been playing for 15 minutes? Then we started thinking it was AI. It was the same guy singing, generic lyrics about finding his soul in a desert or some bullshit, and a similar style beat and music the whole time. It was definitely AI and totally killed the mood. There’s SO MUCH good music out there, basically for free to play, and this hookah bar is playing some AI slop that sounds like the same neverending song. Insane

Yeah I have no idea either and I'm interested to know how they know that. The quality sucks really much, but if I had to guess that sounds a little someone like Olivia Rodrigo to me. Impossible to tell it's AI just based on this crappy audio. I'm not questioning OP, but if this was meant as a proof it's AI music, they did not do a very good job.

My Gen X boss started playing this obviously AI Eminem Christian rap music at work and let my coworker believe it was new material. & it came off like she had the attitude someone “in the know” lol- you know, that person that likes to show off and gatekeep music at the same time.
(Edit: pretty sure forcing your subordinates to listen to religious music at work goes against the work policy at most jobs)

dudeeee my dad will put on a playlist of like three 6 mafia or cypress hill on YouTube and multiple times ive noticed that theres random ai “inspired” videos with three 6 mafia type artwork but its straight up just ai generated slop music and he will listen to it for a long time before either of us noticing that it’s ai and i change it for him bc im not abt to let my dad fall into an ai music rabbit hole but it happens ALL THE TIME and he doesn’t even mean to turn them on, they just autoplay after the actual bands/groups he’s trying to listen to. it’s actually insane how hard it is to find a playlist that doesn’t have ai slop in it i don’t get it????? when i tell him its ai hes like “well i kinda like it because theres not as much cussing” and im like why do you even listen to three 6 mafia then 😭😭😭

My father had a super annoying girlfriend for years, they had a toxic relationship and they would often blame me when something was going wrong. I have an ethical conundrum when it comes to AI music
On the one hand, it takes practically no skill or effort and places like Spotify have two of my top genres completely swamped with this slop
On the other hand, there's a person on Spotify that I can almost guarantee are using AI just based on the sheer quantity of music they upload. They're the only person I've found who is consistently putting something out that hits a specific niche of my musical tastes, a niche that is my top favorite sub-sub-sub-sub-genre of music, so my problem is that my choices are "remain consistent in my values and not condone anything that could be AI music, and never hear anything of this niche again" or "hypocritically call out the slop drowning out real artists while still listening to something you think has a high chance of being AI."
