It’s more that he’s a hack. Creating intriguing questions is easy, writing satisfying answers is hard.

you're right that he's a hack, but it's even worse than you're suggesting.

almost everyone's forgot because of how old it is, but the "good" parts of game of thrones are basically just a ripoff of i, claudius. really, it's almost shocking how shamelessly he ripped it off.
