Praying this was a reference to the song, and if it was, saying it for those that don’t know it

Don’t Cry For Me Argentina - Julie Covington
A looot of other versions out there, but this was the original. I’ll pretend this was the reference all along lol

Well they somehow managed to make people root for England. Takes some serious effort to manage that.

Can still be considered a criticism

Against the team maybe. Argentina definitely played way too relaxed against some rivals, but against England aside from that one mistake that lead to a goal I'd say Argentina was in control for most of the match

Argentina's knockout round games have been consistenly the most exciting games in the tournament. I'd also argue that Cape Verde was the strongest team they've played so far.

They never lead at the 90' mark in any knockout game and they are in the finals. Amazing 👏

Are you being sarcastic? I mean, it's not our fault that the "competent" teams didn't make to round of 32, round of 16 or quarter-finals, plus, we played pretty good at second half against England

basically after the hydration break on the first half Argentina controled the match, England had a good oportunity and Gordon made the most of it, and that's why they scored.

Even worse, they had said opportunity because Romero (El Cuti, as we call him) stopped marking Gordon, Gordon saw the opportunity and took with a good definition, but it was Cuti's fault in the first place

Have you ever had to mark someone who is that much faster than you? I'm amazed that Argentina can leave that much space in behind against teams which are faster across the board. Nearly cost them the game against Egypt, and I thought England would have a field day.

The secret to winning against them has gotta be not scoring until extras, so they don't have time to wake up lol

As a well known roman said once: "anulus mufacum" which translates to "ANULO MUFA"
