Question Wondering why Anthony and Joe Russo were hired to direct Captain America TWS
At the time they were hired they only had 2 feature film credits and they were both comedies with the previous one flopping badly, they also directed some tv episodes and didn’t direct a film for 8 years since their 2nd film. Why were they chosen to direct a big budget prestige political thriller and did they have any creative control? Not saying it was a bad decision it’s just a little bit odd to me

Discussion Oh how I wish that McAvoy and Fassbender were given the opportunity to reprise their characters just one more time
Even though they played the characters in 4 movies, it still never really felt like McAvoy and Fassbender got their due after First Class. Even though Days was a pretty good movie, they still took a bit of a backseat to the Jackman/Lawrence show and Apocalypse/Dark Phoenix were mediocre movies.
They were exceptional choices for the roles and it'd just pain me to know they never got their moment to reprise the characters like so many others have.
If they want to start completely anew with the MCU X-Men cast then that's fine. Just give me something quality with these two one last time.

Discussion Spider-Man ‘98 must happen.
I just finished watching Spider-Man: The Animated Series from the 90s. At the end, there was a cliffhanger left off where Spider-Man and Madame Webb are in the search of finding the REAL Mary Jane Watson throughout the dimension they were in after the event of Hydro-Man bringing back MJ as a clone and ended.
The story must continue. If X-Men ‘97 happens by bringing the X-Men where it left off from the 90s, then so can Spider-Man from 1998 where his journeyed concluded.
What do you say, y’all? For Stan Lee.

Discussion Role of the Avengers post-Secret Wars
With Secret Wars just a year away, and with it being heavily teased that it will lead to a “reset” for the MCU, potentially bringing back past characters who are now dead or retired, one thing I’ve been curious about is how Marvel Studios will handle the Avengers moving forward.
Since the MCU’s conception, the Avengers have acted as the “event movie” that brings all of the characters across the MCU together at the end of each phase. But with the introduction of other big-name teams such as the X-Men and Fantastic Four, I feel like making the Avengers the event movie isn’t as necessary as it once was.
So, post-Secret Wars, and with the return of characters through recasting, like Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Iron Man (Tony Stark), I do wonder if, rather than giving those characters a new trilogy of solo movies, Marvel instead shifts the Avengers into team-focused movies rather than event movies, with the films focusing on a smaller team of seven or eight members such as Cap, Iron Man, Thor, and a rotating roster of members.
I feel this would allow Marvel to keep the Avengers brand alive and relevant within the MCU while also giving those legacy MCU characters a place to remain active, plus freeing up more space each year for movies focused on new characters and teams. Then, at the end of each saga, rather than doing an Avengers event movie, we instead get a massive crossover event movie that highlights the entire MCU rather than just one team.
But what do y’all think? Do you still want the Avengers to be the event movie for the MCU moving forward, or would you rather they shift to being team-focused movies instead?

Discussion (More in Comments) Why couldn't they just recast kang?
He was by favorite marvel villain and I was so disappointed when they fully dropped him for doom
I don't understand why they couldn't just recast him too. If anything, in the multiverse saga, it'd the easiest to recast him by just saying "this guy's from a different universe then the last guy". We already know different universe versions of characters can look different and some look the same (look at multiverse of madness and no way home for examples)

Question How Will Marvel Address Old Steve Rogers in Doomsday?
One thing I've been wondering about is Old Steve Rogers.
I'm not asking whether he'll appear in the movie. I'm more curious about what happens to his character and how Marvel is going to address him.
I just can't wrap my head around his existence. If Chris Evans returns as the Endgame (2019) version of Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, what does that mean for the Old Steve we saw at the end of Endgame? Does Marvel simply ignore him, or do they acknowledge and explain his status?
I'm more interested in how they'll handle the continuity than whether he'll actually have a role in the film.

Discussion 28 hidden Weapon X names you may have missed in X-Men ’97: ‘Weapon X, Lies, and DVDs’
The sheer amount of Easter eggs in Marvel Studios’ X-Men ‘97 is amazing. Literally have to pause or rewind some episodes. Also have to keep an eye on all the little details, such as the DVD labels in the episode ‘Weapons, Lies and DVDs’. And not just the prominent shot of those DVDs, but the other brief flash which had additional names. 👏👏

Discussion Sam Wilson as Falcon will always be my favorite version of the character
There was a time when Sam Wilson was simply Falcon, and that's still the version of him that means the most to me.
When he was introduced in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, he immediately felt like someone Steve Rogers could genuinely trust. For some reason, whenever Steve puts his faith in a character, I automatically become attached to them. I always end up hoping they never let him down.
Sam never did.
I think Sam Wilson had one of the smoothest and most likable introductions in the MCU. Wanda also had a great character journey, but Sam was different for me because of the bond he built with Steve.
Watching The Winter Soldier and Civil War, it always felt like Steve had someone he could rely on completely. Not just a teammate, but almost like a brother. Their friendship was one of my favorite parts of those films.
I still like Sam, but personally I'll always prefer him as Falcon rather than Captain America. That's not because I think he's a bad Captain America. It's simply because, for me, Steve Rogers will always be Captain America. Even if Steve had chosen Bucky instead, I still don't think anyone could replace Steve in that role in my eyes.
I was randomly thinking about Sam today, so I felt like sharing this. Since he'll be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, I'm really looking forward to seeing where Marvel takes his character next. If he gets any meaningful moments that remind us of his friendship with Steve, I'd love to see that.
Anyone else feel more connected to Sam as Falcon than as Captain America?

Discussion What I thinks going on with Steve/Cap
Steve blames himself for an incursion.
One of Steve's defining traits throughout the MCU is that he carries enormous guilt. In The First Avenger, he feels responsible for Bucky. In Age of Ultron, he blames himself for the Avengers falling apart. In Civil War, he carries the burden of protecting Bucky even when the world turns against him. In Endgame, he's willing to sacrifice himself without hesitation. He's always the first person to say, "I'll fix it."
Now imagine Steve learns that by staying with Peggy in another timeline, he unknowingly created or contributed to an incursion that destroys universes. Even if it wasn't truly his fault, Steve would probably believe it was.
That feels very authentic to his character.
Doom will exploit it
Doom is often portrayed as someone who doesn't just overpower heroes—he understands what motivates them.
Instead of saying:
"Join me because you're evil."
He could say something like:
"Look what your selfish choice cost the multiverse."
"You chose one life over trillions."
"Only I can save what's left."
That's a temptation Steve would actually struggle with—not because he wants power, but because he wants to make things right.
That doesn't make him a villain.
Steve wouldn't become "evil."
He'd become convinced that the only moral choice is to help Doom repair reality, even if it means sacrificing a few universes to save the many.
Think about:
Tony in Civil War believing accountability comes first.
Thanos believing sacrifice was necessary.
Wanda believing she deserved happiness after so much loss.
None of them thought they were the villain.
Steve could fall into the same trap while still fundamentally trying to save people.
If Steve has retired, leaving the shield hanging in his home while he lives peacefully with Peggy, it symbolizes that he finally let himself stop being Captain America.
But after learning about the incursion, he wouldn't grab the shield because he wants to be a hero again.
He'd grab it because he believes he has to answer for what he's done.
That's a completely different emotional motivation.
If I were writing Doomsday, I'd have it play out like this:
Steve has spent decades with Peggy.
He learns his timeline is collapsing because of an incursion.
Doom convinces him that his decision to stay created it.
Steve accepts responsibility, even if the accusation isn't entirely fair.
He initially sides with Doom—not out of loyalty, but because he believes Doom's plan is the only way to save the remaining universes.
The other Avengers eventually remind Steve of something he's forgotten: Captain America doesn't save the world by carrying impossible guilt. He saves it by doing what's right, even when he can't fix everything.
Only then does Steve fully reclaim the shield and stand against Doom.
My opinion on it is that's a much stronger story than "evil Captain America." It preserves everything that makes Steve Rogers heroic while giving him a genuine internal conflict. Rather than corrupting his ideals, it would show how those same ideals—especially his willingness to take responsibility for everyone—could be manipulated by someone as calculating as Doom. If Marvel wanted to give Chris Evans one last emotionally rich arc, that kind of moral dilemma would fit the character far better than a straightforward villain turn.

Discussion How I Would Have Done Phase 4
I keep seeing people just throwing around titles so I wanted to actually throw out my ideas.
-2021-
Wandavision
Remains mostly the same expect I would reveal at the end Heyword is actually a disguised Ultron
Captain America: Legacy Of The Shield
A condensed version of the FATWS. Sam and Bucky track the terrorist group known as the Flag-Smashers led by Karl Morganthau begrudgingly accompanied by the new Cap John Walker and Battlestar. Eventually their pursuit leads them to Madripoor where Walker gets his hands on new super soldier serum. The serum makes Walker got a little crazy after first taking it and in a fight with the Flag-Smashers after Lemar’s death he causes a lot of destruction which injures a few civilians even leaving one paralysed. Sam becomes the new Cap and together with Bucky he defeats the Flag-Smashers. Valentina appears at the end to recruit Walker.
The Sensational She-Hulk Season 1
An episodic legal comedy with episodes such as; She-Hulk representing Frankenstein’s monster against an immortal Victor Frankenstein for defamation, the Daredevil/Leapfrog episode and an episode based around Titania suing Thundra for stealing her brand.
Iron Man: Armour Wars
Rhodey has to deal with the fall out of leftover Stark Industries tech getting out to the public peddled by Justin Hammer. He meets Riri Williams who has built her own Iron Man suit and an AI built at Stark who is trying to prove himself human; Aaron Stack who becomes the hero Machine Man. Together they face off against Titanium Man, Ghost, Madame Masque, Crimson Dynamo and the main villain Iron Monger otherwise known as Ezekiel Stane who blames Rhodey for helping kill his father. After learning the truth about Obadiah Ezekiel turns himself in.
Werewolf By Night
Remains unchanged.
Hawkeye
Remains mostly unchanged except Buck is with Fisk and this will be Yelena’s debut.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Remains unchanged.
-2022-
Miss Marvel
Another more episodic shoe focussed on Kamala attempting to be a real hero and facing off against the Department of Damage Control and villains such as Inventor, Discord and Lockdown.
Doctor Strange In The Nothingness Of Nightmares
Clea arrives at the Sanctum to warn Strange of her uncle’s arrival. She asks for the Eye of Agamotto to prevent Dormamu’s arrival but Strange says the time stone was destroyed. Clea and Strange then hop through multiple dimensions to search for the real Eye of Agamotto eventually finding it in the possession of Nightmare who has been using it to torment people. They steal the eye and manage to repel Dormamu but this angers Nightmare who then traps them within an eternal nightmare. Here Strange must come to terms with the fact he can no longer have Christine and he manages to break free. Together with Clea they defeat Nightmare and return to Earth. Strange asks Clea if she’s leaving and she decides to stay and the two get together.
The Sensational She-Hulk Season 2
More of the same from season 1.
Thor And The Mighty Thor
Far less of a comedic tone. The ending remains the same but in between is quite different. During the fight on Omnipotent City Gorr arrives and slaughters many gods most notably Poseidon and then he kills Korg. Hercules joins Thor, Jane and Valkyrie on their mission to stop Gorr. The ending is then a tag team fight between Thor, Jane and Hercules against Thor while Valkyrie and Sif rescue the children. Jane then dies and Thor adopts Gorr’s daughter as his own.
Agatha All Along
Remains unchanged except we get a post credit scene of Jennifer Kale meeting her cousin; Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider.
Blade
This is a special presentation that follows Blade and Hannibal King as they track down and kill the vampire that killed Blade’s mother; Deacon Frost.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
As painful as a decision it is I would have recast T’Challa. The film focusses on the original plot of T’Challa trying to make up for lost time with his son as Namor attacks and kills Ramonda. The film ends with a peace agreement between Talocan and Wakanda.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special
Remains unchanged.
-2023-
Ant-Man And The Wasp And Ant-Man
This plot is taken from a Nando V Movies video but it involves former SHIELD agent Eric O’Grady who took a SHIELD Ant-Man suit and is committing crimes with it as well as AIM led by MODOK who’s goal is to turn everyone into a big head in a chair like him.
Visionquest
White Vision travels through his programming and the programming of other Stark AI’s to try and piece his history back together which leads to his discovery of Ultron being alive as well as a version of his Hex son Tommy. Vision learns Ultron has made himself a wife; Jocasta and has a new vision on how to wipe out humanity. Scarlet Witch and Wiccan appear at the end to try and stop Ultron but ultimately fail leading to Vision and Wanda going to Sam for help.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3
Remains unchanged because it is perfect.
Hawkeye & Widow
A miniseries which has Yelena bring Kate along on a mission to destroy the Red Room accompanied by Yelena’s adopted father the Red Guardian. They battle Widows, Taskmaster and Crossfire in their efforts to take down the Red Room. The series would include a flashback episode to Clint and Nat in Budapest.
Werewolf By Night Returns
Werewolf by Night vs Moon Knight.
The New Avengers
After learning of Ultron’s return Sam puts together a new Avengers made up of himself, Vision, Wanda, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, She-Hulk, Machine Man and Black Panther. We learn Ultron’s plan is to infect humans with nano bots to rewrite their dna into being robots as he now realises the heroes can stop mass extinction events. His plans actually succeed and the nanobots infect millions of people. Unfortunately for him Jocasta falls in love with Machine Man and gives a cure to Nick Fury who uses the SWORD satellite to distribute the cure. Ultron and his drones still pose a threat and then Captain Marvel arrives having been called in by Fury. Machine Man enters Ultron’s mind alongside Vision. Vision attempts to sacrifice himself to stop Ultron but Machine Man stops him and instead erases his own code alongside Ultron sparing Vision from yet another death. Jocasta joins the Avengers to honour the man she loved and Wanda and Vision leave to try and forge a new path. The New Avengers stand strong as Earth’s mightiest heroes. We then get a post-credit scene featuring Loki and He Who Remains.

Discussion If you could buddy up Wolverine with another mutant for a solo movie, who and why?
I keep thinking that if and when we get another Wolverine solo project, it'd be a good idea to give him some mutants to join him in his film as sidekicks, much like we've seen in some previous MCU movies. If you could choose anyone to join him, who would you choose?
Personally I'd go for Nightcrawler and Jubilee. As a trio, they'd work really well, and Wolverine works really well when combined with a sort of young precocious teen mutant.

Discussion The only time the inhumans have been interesting is in agents of shield
Re-watching agents of shield right now and I gotta say skye/ Daisy Johnson’s, storyline is the only time being humans have made sense as a group of characters. Comics to me, they’ve always been a royal family stand in or knock off mutants. And it was very annoying to watch Marvel. Try to replace mutants with the inhumans in this time period. But as far as character growth and interesting storylines go, this is the only time they’ve been relevant and interesting to me.
