Mod [Official] A Note on Community Content & Quality Control

Hi everyone,

As our community grows, we’ve noticed a major shift in the feed. Currently, the sub is being flooded with geopolitical conflicts (Israel, Iran, Trump, etc.). While these are major news items, having too much of this content is turning the sub into an echo chamber and causing a sharp rise in toxicity.

This sub was created to share all kinds of "must-see" moments from Savage comebacks and Funny internet gold to Tech breakthroughs and Unique stories.

What we are looking for:

Focus on Quality: We want to see more variety. If you have interesting Tech news, Science updates, or Savage social media moments, please share them!

Geopolitical Content: We aren't banning these topics, but we will be much stricter now. Posts that only serve to trigger arguments or spread hate will be removed.

Zero Tolerance for Toxicity: If the comment section of a post turns into a shouting match or involves racism/hate, we will lock the post or ban those involved.

We want this to be a space where users can discover interesting content without getting into toxic debates. Let's keep the community healthy and focused on things that are actually worth missing!

Mod Important Moderator Announcement

We have noticed that many users in the comments are enjoying and celebrating violence, destruction, and wishing death upon civilians of countries they hate.

This behaviour is completely unacceptable.

This subreddit is for sharing raw war-related news and moments not for turning tragedy into entertainment or spreading hate. We have been removing such comments and giving warnings until now.

From now onwards, anyone celebrating violence, wishing death on civilians, or glorifying suffering will be permanently banned.

We will no longer tolerate this toxic behaviour.

If you see such comments, please report them immediately, your reports help us act faster. Keep the discussion civil and factual.

Thank you for understanding.

On Wednesday morning, a 41-year-old man triggered a police operation by brandishing a firearm. During the operation, officers used their service weapons, injuring the 41-year-old.

Witnesses reported via emergency call that a man was pointing a firearm at people in the Menageriestraße area and had then gone into a supermarket. The Dresden Police Department immediately dispatched officers to the scene, including special forces for life-threatening situations (LebEL).

In front of the supermarket at the corner of Menageriestraße and Berliner Straße, police officers spotted a man holding what appeared to be a musket, which he then fired at them. Police officers subsequently used their service weapons, injuring the man. He then shouted an Islamic religious saying. The 41-year-old was eventually arrested by the police. After receiving initial treatment from the officers, he was taken to a hospital in Dresden.

No other injuries were reported. The suspect's weapon was seized. Whether it is a live firearm is under investigation.

The suspect is a Turkish citizen. He is being investigated for threats and violations of weapons laws. The 41-year-old's motive is still unclear.

Rallies organized by Likud and other right-wing groups featured depictions of Rabin in a Nazi SS uniform, or in the crosshairs of a gun.\2])\3]) Protesters compared the Labor party (which Rabin led) to the Nazis and Rabin to Adolf Hitler\5]) and chanted, "Rabin is a murderer" and "Rabin is a traitor".\8])\9]) In July 1995, Netanyahu led a mock funeral procession featuring a coffin and hangman's noose at an anti-Rabin rally where protesters chanted, "Death to Rabin".\10])\11]) The chief of internal securityCarmi Gillon, then alerted Netanyahu of a plot on Rabin's life and asked him to moderate the protests' rhetoric, which Netanyahu declined to do.\8])\12]) Netanyahu denied any intention to incite violence.\2])\3])\13])

The perpetrator was Yigal Amir, a 25-year-old former Hesder student and far-right law student at Bar-Ilan University. Amir had strenuously opposed Rabin's peace initiative, particularly the signing of the Oslo Accords, because he felt that an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank would deny Jews their "biblical heritage which they had reclaimed by establishing settlements". Amir had come to believe that Rabin was a rodef, meaning a "pursuer" who endangered Jewish lives. The concept of din rodef ("law of the pursuer") is a part of traditional Jewish law. Amir believed he would be justified under din rodef in removing Rabin as a threat to Jews in the territories.\16])
