Question question about Rundfunkbeitrag

My roommate, who paid the Rundfunkbeitrag, has moved out. In the meantime, my other roommate has registered the apartment under their name. My question is, will I receive a new Aktenzeichen by mail so that I can register under the new Beitragsnummer? Or does this all happen automatically?

You already have an account registered with them. You will keep that account.

If/when they send you another form telling you that the main payer has moved out, so it's time to start paying, that's when you can tell them your new roommate's Beitragsnummer.
