Looking back, it's kinda sad that people couldn't figure out it was a new console...

Xbox and Sony were revealing their new consoles at the same time and Nintendo never really did an addon like that prior. Sure the announcement and wording was trash, but all the evidence was there that it was it's own thing.

The entire point of marketing is to advertise your product to people and sell them on it. If that many people saw the advertising (and this is Nintendo, there was A LOT) and still didn't know that it was a full console, it's on Nintendo.

I recently used 3 Wii U's and a Wii to local LAN a Mario Kart mod and it was amazing.

There's a port of Quake 3 I wanna run on all 4 devices along with my dreamcast soon too.

I could be wrong, never heard of the 25th anniversary edition. Just saw a reel recently where someone completely stripped one out and upgraded the fans, painted components, and added clear acrylic panels. Could have been someone else doing their own version

Fan servers are running strong for it and its features. Also a lot of ports and so on you can crossplay with other people. (I'm just saying that as an insane person that owns 3 Wii Us... well 4 but I aint going back to South Africa to get that one)

Maybe if the top vent of the Xbox was translucent green I'd like it, but it's not for me. Love the black and blue of the PS5, but I just wouldn't be able to change my base PS5 or Pro's color I love the white it just works in my house.

I made them myself with matte black spraypaint. The inside is blue and light blue spraypaint. The PS logo is just a paper cutout i sloppily drew wit a marker.
