1: Are people okay with layered sounds, blowing, scratching etc that i did earlier then placed into the video.

2: Background music, whats your thoughts on music in the background

3: Whats an idea video length? Im thinking of aiming for 20-30minutes. As the library grows, a person could simply chain them in a playlist for longer lengths i guess.

4: Lastly, i wont be using any AI in my videos, is it worth highlighting that its AI free seeing that it appears to be becoming an issue nowadays? Also if i say its AI free, would that mean i cant even make a youtube banner using AI?

I think thats it, like i said, this is my 2nd channel, the first one i stopped working on after lockdown for health reasons, i just couldnt maintain it back then.

The ASMR im working on now is totally different to everything out there at the moment yet relatively simple which is what works best imo. I dont want to do the usual stuff like everyone else is doing as its already been done a million times and will bore me.

I’ve been watching and creating ASMR for a little while now, and I’m curious. What makes you actually hit the subscribe button on a new creator? Is it audio quality, personality, consistency, thumbnails, or something else?

EDIT- This has been incredibly helpful to read. As someone who’s still fairly new to creating ASMR, it’s nice hearing what viewers actually care about instead of just guessing. Thanks to everyone who’s shared their thoughts!

been trying to find new asmrtists to watch but youtube search is so incredibly bad now that it makes it almost impossible. I prefer a casual style with gentle, slow (but not painfully slow) taps and whisper. usually on the more lofi side. asmrtists I really like are southernasmr sounds, cozylotus, and asmrplanet. so similar vibes to those would be awesome. really not a fan of super over-produced feeling stuff. any recommendations would be appreciated because youtube search really does make it impossible to find new content/channels

Who are your current fave asmr artists? I also found asmrtists on tiktok and they are SOOOO Good. I'm just too lazy to look them up on yt so I lurk around on their tiktok profile lmao. But my all time favorite's gotta be LunaBloomASMR. I also like EMASMR, ASMR Rebecca, and Angelic. Special mention to my girl 12jelly.

And also, what triggers do you hate and love? I don't like glass and lid sounds. I also prefer if asmrtists talk softly rather than whispering (which is why I LOVE Luna)

Plot/Scenario: In the roleplay, both the ASMRtist and the viewer are students. The premise is that she got into an argument with a teacher, who then threatened to call her parents. While waiting to be sent home or to the office, she spends time with the viewer (her crush), playing with their hair to pass the time while flirting.

Context: I remember the atmosphere felt like a school setting. I have a short video clip of her but cannot upload it here.

I’d want to be faceless and do videos with the POV facing down towards the hands and objects that would be interacted with. My question is with that set up where is the microphone located? I know some people used two on each side but if you’re using just one where’s the best spot for it?
