Sports Yemen’s 2003-2010 Football Jersey
I’ve always wanted to purchase this football jersey here. Where could I possibly find the Yemeni Adidas sponsored jersey that was worn by the Yemeni National Team back in 2003-2010?

Questions What I Saw in Yemen Broke My Heart
I went to Yemen after many, many years, and I have to say, it broke my heart.
The healthcare system is struggling, the economy is in terrible shape, and everyone is just trying to survive. Honestly, I was never upset when people charged me more because they knew I was coming from the West. I understood. When you see people living with no electricity, no running water, and barely getting by, you stop worrying about a few extra dollars. Meanwhile, those of us in the West are sitting under air conditioning, living comfortable lives.
I honestly don't care about making more money anymore. My wife and I are both senior-level professionals in tech, and we've been talking about saving as much as we can so we can go back and open a public school that teaches coding to young Yemenis. We also have great relationships with people in the tech industry who could help us build something meaningful.
The problem is that every one of my cousins thinks I'm crazy. They keep telling me it'll never work, that the government or local authorities will shut it down, or that the people don't even want it.
Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I truly believe that if you give a Yemeni an opportunity, they'll succeed. There is so much talent there most people have just never been given the chance.
Am I being naive?

Discussion Why are so many tourists visiting Yemen lately?
I’ve been seeing a lot of tourists and travel vloggers exploring Yemen recently, saying it’s safe, beautiful, and the people are welcoming. What changed? Is tourism really increasing, or is social media just making it seem that way?

Yemeni Culture This anger won't go away!!
I'm a 33 yr old single mom, and alhamdulilah I'm proud of who I am today. I'm able to support myself and my kids, travel and enjoy my hobbies. But the shit I've endured as a wife and a sister has made me really dislike men. Now don't get me wrong, I believe there are good men in this world; but I really and truly believe that most Yemeni men are terrible. But I don't blame *them* per se: I blame their parents and how they were raised.
The fact that I can't even see myself remarrying should speak volumes. I subconsciously would see a Yemeni man walk by and automatically assume he's either a pervert with a holier-than-thou attitude or a cheater that believes women should never be seen or heard unless he allows her to speak. It's to the point where I dont trust any man and when my parents mention marriage, I automatically feel dread...like someone's talking about an impending doom.
I'm so content with my life today, but when I see the compassion and love between my parents, I also worry I will regret that I never gave the suitors a chance. But what kind of chance do I give desperate suitors who either was a u.s. visa, want me as a 2nd wife, or I simply don't care to know about?

Discussion When will we change ?
Hey my people. I came on here because I am honestly tired of our culture. I know not everyone is like this but too many people in our community put culture above religion. My family was born and raised in America and we have lived here almost our whole lives. Even then I have lost so much because of these cultural expectations. My dad refuses to let me get an education or learn how to drive even though I even offered to do online school.
Our community looks down on divorced women. It makes a woman's life so much harder when she does not even have the support of her own family. they say that they are trying to protect us but if you truly love your children and want what is best for them then teach your daughters how to live in this world just like you teach your sons.
When will our country start seeing women as human beings too. Why do women always have to rely on men. Why can we not teach our daughters how to take care of themselves and stand on their own. We cannot expect progress if half of our population is held back.
Even when it comes to marriage why is it so hard to marry outside our ethnicity. Why is it considered shameful if a Yemeni woman marries someone who is not Yemeni. These are questions I have struggled with for a long time. Maybe this mindset is one of the reasons why Yemen is not progressing.

Discussion What is your opinion on diaspora Yemenis sending money back home?
in the usa there are Yemenis living in tiny apartments with their wife and 4+ kids but building houses in Yemen. this is very common here. it is hard for me to understand why they don’t improve their own living conditions instead.

Travel Entering Yemen with an expired Yemeni passport
Hello,
My Yemeni passport expired a few months ago, but I still have a passport (since I’m a dual citizen of another country).
I’m planning a trip to Yemen and was wondering if it would be acceptable to use my expired Yemeni passport along with my other passport to enter the country through Saudi Arabia (land).
I would greatly appreciate any advice or personal experiences you may have in this regard. Thank you.

Questions Any Indians here who have visited Socotra? How did you deal with the Yemen travel restrictions?
I've been researching Socotra Island and noticed that many tour operators offer trips via Abu Dhabi. Since Socotra is part of Yemen, I'm curious about the practical experience of people who have actually been there.
Did you need any special permission from your home country?
Were there any issues when returning home?
Was your passport stamped, or was a separate paper used?
Did immigration ask any questions?
Would you recommend waiting until the situation changes, or is it fairly straightforward at the moment?
I'm not looking for ways around any laws, just interested in hearing real experiences from people who have visited recently.
