Watching a burning car in middle of a road. 🚘
The burning car starts rolling towards the spectators. 🚗

I was expecting it to explode not gain sentience and try to kill people.

Cars don't really explode, they just burn to a crisp.
Although it's still dumb to stay close to it, because stuff can pop from it, like springs.
Also they can start moving on their own, I guess lol.

Cars can absolutely explode although not as dramatic as shown by Hollywood
•
u/SphinxIIIII 2m ago
Maybe in the 70's, cars have been made to not explode for decades.
Gas tanks don't have oxygen, the most a burning car can do is create a huge ball of flame.

It’s a self driving car. It was lit on fire as protest. It already has sentience.

Ahh yes, the old run in the same direction as the object moving in a straight line instead of getting out of its way.

u/JarJarBinks237 1h ago
You can clearly see the IQ difference between those who calmly get out of the way and those who run like headless chicken in the direction the car is moving.

And then there was the dude on the bike.

The 2 dudes in their bikes, but 1 luckily had help from someone else

Obviously you’ve never attended the Prometheus school of running away from things!

u/sashah87 1h ago
Most are bike riders running towards their motorcycles parked further down, which is understandable.

My favorite is the guy in the blue shirt who slowly closes the car door and just saunters through all the bike riders sideways out of the way.

Proving that, while it is stupid from the viewers perspective, Prometheus was accurate to how stupid humans running away from dangerous falling objects are.

u/lukeluke0000 1h ago
Damn there were so many things wrong with that movie but the internet focus on that scene infuriated me, most people are stupid under panic, and it's not even a tiny car, but a giant spaceship.

When I worked in hazmat emergency response we always told people “crosswind, then upwind”. Amazing how many people had no idea what that meant or looked like

u/Loki-L 1h ago
People in a panic fall back to instinct and our instincts were shaped by situations were running in the same direction as your pursuer was the correct move.
The people who tried to step out of the way of a predator got eaten.
22
u/Adventurous_Web_7961 1h ago
This is a low IQ answer. Humans were never able to out run their predators. . people who stepped out of the way, climbed a tree, picked up a stick were the ones who survived and got away while the predator ate the ones that attempted to purely out run it without thinking.

u/Euphoric_Discount264 1h ago
Very true, there are no predators that human can outrun

Thank goodness it wasn't a burning train on rails, it would had been catastrophic.

Two things:
Most of those idiots are running in the ghost rider car's path. Especially the guys (in red polo and white shirt) before the car hits that's really a close miss.
Ghost rider's car is driving better than many drivers out there.

Instead of running with the bulls, which is cruel to the animals, I want running with the flaming sedans

Today in news, dead driver is pulled over for running 2 red lights and failing to turn on their blinker before changing lane.

Reminds me of the landslide video posted a couple days ago. These brain dead morons have no understanding of the world around them.

u/Thatslpstruggling 1h ago
Honestly, this had the best outcome possible given the number of people and cars around

u/Vaanaram 1h ago
The cars steers away from a bike and then again steers away from the car in its path. Amazing

Why did this make me laugh out loud?
Them running like little ants really tickled me.

Seems like a lack of fire trucks in this community. In North Texas, we’d have 3-4 trucks on the scene and one blocker truck to blockade both sides of the highway

As dumb as it looks to run away in the same direction as it's moving, that smoke looks really nasty.
It's mostly burning plastic, so stepping to one side and being engulfed in carcinogens isn't exactly a good option.

That one bollard really saved it. It was heading towards a bunch of cars and buildings

That white car at the end reminds me of that horrendous level on crash bandicoot where you're running towards the camera and something's chasing you, maybe a bull or a big rock or something.
Also props to that dude helping the other dude on the bike out pulling him backwards aha

When there are no trains to play with a burning car will work in a pinch.
