Gotrek and Felix are finished!

It really has been a very long journey, almost as if I’d trudged all the way from Altdorf to the Chaos Wastes on my own, without an airship to take me there.

I started sculpting Gotrek over a year ago and thought I’d be able to finish the project in a couple of weeks. That didn’t work out in the end, but at least the figures are finished now.

Gotrek and Felix are currently staying at a rather nice coaching inn somewhere on the southern edge of the Vaults, with a bunch of shady characters nearby...

Proximeau achieved his knighthood after protecting the southern realms of Bretonnia from the necrotic nightmares that rise from the desert tombs of the south. Years have past since his knighthood, and he has set out on his quest to grace the presence of the lady, but his calling was not what he would have expected. While questing through the lush realm of Bretonnia, a vision came to him in a dream. The lady of the lake eloquently walking across a lustrous surface of water, when a strong gust of wind kicked up the sands and blows the image into dust. Leaving behind nothing but desolate dunes of sand stretching as far as the eye can see. With the troubling vision seared into his mind, Proximeau knows where his journey must take him. To the south. Beyond the realms where any war has taken him before. Deep into the heart of the deserts, where the dead know no rest.

This week I was finally able to get started on Gotrek and Felix, and I managed to finish the heavily armed poet today.

I hope you like it! Not perfect, but I am happy that he is done at last 😅

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a little project I had been working on for a year or two off and on. Always wanted one of the gorgeous land ship models but seeing how much they can go for on eBay broke me into cold sweats! After the success of my scratch Built war wagon I figured why not make my own! So here are some of the pics from the finished product. Hope you enjoy

Inspired by my dad who used to wear a celestial themed sun/moon phase watch when I was growing up.

They are pretty much finished... Well aside from the banner that is... I will come back to it later and will likely do all the army banners one after another.

I'm fixing up, stripping and repainting my dark elves as a long term project and though I'd say they are not quite to my usual standard there are way too many of them to paint up the way I'd usually do my 40k.

Still, I'm happy enough with them and they do look quite impressive (as ranked infantry always does).

I wanted my chaos warrior units to appear really "chaotic" and not the regimented uniform chaos warriors you usually get, so I mixed up various different minis, and gave them all rusty weapons and armour to try and tie them together. Some are classic chaos minis, while quite a few of them are from Knightmare Miniatures who do some old school style chaos minis.

Bought the missing wall. Just waiting for it to arrive.

Test model complete for my Norse Dwarf Longbeards. Really wanted to push this guy with the paint job to make him feel like an “upgrade” over the warriors I’ve converted and painted recently.

This guy has been sealed in a box since 1995 and I finally busted him out for the Olden Demon comp this year! According to the box, Azhag was designed by Trish Carden and Gary Morely… and what a masterpiece he is! Even though I came in the hobby during 6th Ed when I was 10, I always remember seeing this guy in all those little promo brochures and wanted him so bad! I finally have my dream model painted ❤️

This army was painted in a week other than the spears and archers, and I’m really happy with how it turned out despite a bit of roughness in some areas.

Always loved the looks of the Swordmasters! Will include them in all lists! Silver helms took awhile to paint but I think i got the process down!

Still have to finish the bases, aiming for a grassy themed bases which I have not done before!

on and off again, of course. I've been pushing my freehand to the (my) limit.
