Has anyone gone on to graduate programs at other universities after graduating from UoP?

I've been considering going for a Master's after finishing my Bachelor's at UoP since I plan on becoming a clinical psychologist or a university professor in that area, but I'm unsure if that's at all possible since most programs require a Psychology degree or related area, and Health Science might not fit those requirements. Although I'm not just going to limit myself to that area, I'd be willing to apply to other closely related areas if it's not possible.

Has anyone had any luck going for a Master's or PhD at other universities after finishing their undergrad at UoP? Ideally I'd want to go for Clinical Psychology programs in Europe or Canada since I can't afford the US.

Can enrolled students transfer credits to UoPeople?

As the question says. I would like to apply to masters in CS later, and having some courses like linear algebra (not available at UoPeople currently) may be helpful.

So, can students get credits for courses like linear algebra and transfer them to UoPeople CS bachelor?

Degree Advice - Associates to Bachelors

Heya guys - I could really use some 'been there, done that' insight. I'm currently taking courses towards my associates in business administration. Long-term, I really want to get my bachelors. Thing is - I want to get my associates, like the 'paper', in the interim, and I actually have no idea if I can switch to the bachelors program after my associates is complete, or before, and still get my associates when I've reached the requirements while pursuing my bachelors. I'd love to know the best way to do this!

Credit transfer

Hey guys
For those who transferred credits from Sophia recently , what documents did you use ? Because I previously using the transcript from Credly and the credits were accepted even those form study.com but this time around it was denied and they asked for additional documents . I did not pay for the official Sophia transcript . Is that what they require now ?

Week 5 starts today, but my Week 3 assignment still hasn’t been graded

Hi everyone,

I’m in a bit of a frustrating situation and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
For my Week 5 assignment, we’re supposed to review the feedback we received on our Week 3 assignment and explain how we’re applying that feedback. The problem is that my Week 3 assignment still hasn’t been graded, so I haven’t received any instructor comments or rubric feedback yet.
The only thing that makes me a bit nervous is that Week 5 starts today, and I won’t be able to complete that part of the assignment as instructed if I still don’t have my feedback.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do? Did you just mention in your Week 5 assignment that the feedback wasn’t available yet, or did you contact your instructor and wait?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Does anyone else feel like the MEd. capstone rationale report and deliverable getting kinda of repetative? I feel like some sections of each document feel rathe redundant and repetative. Is that just me? Or is this a common experience? If it's just me, where am I going wrong?

IBM SKILLBUILD CERTIFICATES REALLY TRANSFERS

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hello, I just wanted to share that both IBM SKILLBUILD certificates are transferable towards your degree. As you can see in the image I got 18 credits in general electives category as health science student and if you would transfer them as CS student they might transfer to major electives.

Can't save Reading materials, assignment, discussion materials as one PDF like before.

In new Campus, can't save all of them as a single pdf book, now it's to copy paste each material on my local files. It was a time-saver feature in last campus. What do you think?

Course withdrawal question, friends.

Hi everyone, I had taken the Math 1280 course. I found out I had the option to drop the course between July 13 and 15, so I took advantage of it and dropped the course. Right now, a ā€œWā€ appears on my transcript, and I’ve heard an ā€œRā€ will show up later. I’m confused—I’m thinking of re-enrolling in the course in September. If I end up with grades like A+, A, or B, will those not appear on my transcript, or will an ā€œRā€ show up instead? If anyone knows, please help—I’m feeling really bad about this :(

It is possible

After 1 year and 7 months, here we are.

learned a lot, met some amazing people, and finally got my degree apostilled through a third-party service. It doesn't feel like the end, just the beginning of a new chapter.

For anyone wondering if the University is legit: it is.

And for those asking how I finished so fast, I transferred over 20 courses from Sophia Learning. Personally, I'm not too worried about having that many transfer credits if I decide to do a master's later. In programming, your portfolio and what you can actually build usually matter more than anything else. Plenty of great developers don't even have a degree.

Good luck to everyone starting their journey!

These are the video that helped me figure out which Sophia courses to take:

Computer science

Edit: added the video for CS

Awful Instructors

Hello, I'm just going to start out by saying, yes I'm aware there are terrible instructors at every school but I've never had one so unwilling to do their job, you still have to instruct even if it's online.

I'm an older adult going back to school, I picked this school for financial reasons. I'm only a few classes in. I'm on the Business Administration path. I also have a family and work full-time job.

For the first real discussion, the limit was 600 words, not including the references. The body of my post was 550 but with my references it made the word count 675. They deducted points for being over the word count. When I pointed out per your own instructions the references is not supposed to be counted in the word count, he changed the grade but made a point to say it's "just this one time."

You didn't even follow your own instructions! Then they marked off my assignment for not following formatting but didn't say what exactly the issue was in the feedback. When I asked him about that he said it wasn't in correct APA format and next time I'll be graded more harshly. Then they threw in my essay was borderline plagiarism because it had a 30% TurnItIn score but when I ran it through plagiarism checker it only highlighted stuff that was cited (proper in text citations) Nor was I told exactly what in the essay was considered plagiarism. It was an assignment that relied on providing evidence for my argument so I used a lot of statistics and quoted several things. I think I had 9 references on my list.

One assignment was knocked off points for not using references for an essay about my own personal goals. Not sure why I would need other sources for my own personal goals?

Plus several of the texts used are 20 years out of date, using companies that don't even exist anymore or have drastically changed their policies as examples.

I guess you definitely get what you pay but I'm not going to waste what little money I can spend on education to have an instructors that just runs something through an AI scan and borderline accuse me of plagiarism.

Managerial Accounting from Sophia

Has anyone ever taken the Managerial Accounting course from Sophia and successfully transferred it to UoPeople? It’s not on the certified list but the website says check with the University to see if they’ll accept it. Figured I’d get a much faster answer by asking here. 🤣

Why is Roslyn Ai heavily disliked?

Apart from the data issues, I presume uopeople sells our data prior and regardless of rosalyn. Why is it disliked. Is it because you can't cheat? Also I understand the concerns of a few people who can't afford a stable device and network, but apart from them why is it disliked?
