It should also be clear in context when discussing "American" politics that it's referring to an individual country not whole continents.

I don't care which side you're on, being unidentified like that in this situation is extremely dangerous for everyone involved. If I see someone tackling an old man in a alley I might be a "good citizen" and start fighting for that old man, then if they just so happen to be ICE I would have hypothetically assaulted an officer! Not to mention all the accountability problems that come up due to being masked. But I think that's what the government actually wants, because then you can escalate control methods when you have the excuse of protecting law enforcement.

it's exactly what they want. ICE is basically serving as the GOP's combo of 'secret police' who can arrest anyone at any time for any reason, and they might jut disappear to never be heard from again even if they were innocent, combined with a good old fashioned leg-breaker thug from a mafia film going around collecting protection money. they want people to be scared and afraid of acting against the party in power, and they especially want any sort of minority to be extra afraid. all the while they keep blasting their propaganda about how all the ills of America are caused by anyone thats not a white supremacist, so that anyone that does support them instead gets angry at minorities for causing them to be afraid, a sort of victim blaming pass-the-buck mentality that basically goes: ICE wouldn't be so scary (and scaring me) if the minorities would just leave and stop being a problem.
and because they want people who AREN'T actual trained law enforcement and are 100% on board with racial profiling and unethical treatment of humans, they end up with basically a semi-controlled mob of socio- and psycho-paths who simply enjoy causing fear and using their power to do whatever they want. and since the GOP wants to keep protecting their bully boys and allows things like them hiding their identities and not needing to actually follow due process and have trials, they basically can get away with anything as long as it's not too egregious. like, if an ICE member just walked into a jewish synagogue or an islamic mosque and shot up everyone inside they'd still be persecuted, but if all they are doing is killing the occasional civilian who 'resisted arrest' or 'tried to run' and occasionally just mug people, then most of the time they get away with it because whatever local ICE leadership their is will just deny the whole thing or sweep it under the rug

Yea like an arrest doesn't normally stop because they're being filmed. Unless the people committing the arrest can be identified, there's no way to prove definitely if they are or are not ice.

Theyâre definitely ICE. The airport released a statement saying theyâre working with federal agents after the video was released. ICE is not always in uniform nor do they always identify themselves.
