he’s going to be extra assholish tonight
but you know cbs is 👀
nice little play there by nbc and abc. they think their programming is going to be more value to their viewers than his diatribe
damn it’s on! network fight

Yeah, glad to see Disney isn't pushing Trump's election lies by giving him airtime.
18
u/templeofsyrinx1 15h ago
sorry I’m lost on the Disney thing? 👀
can never keep track of who owns what under what shell company or conglomerate
31
u/SteveRogests 15h ago
Disney is the parent company of ABC
17
u/templeofsyrinx1 15h ago
obliged
10
u/Chillguy3333 14h ago
Disney also owns ESPN and Hulu
8
u/templeofsyrinx1 14h ago
And like 20th Century Fox and all that too. Insane. Disney is the big mouse now with its nose in everything

Thank fucking God. We already have the explosive diarrhea going through the country. We don't need more of it.

u/BackItUpWithLinks 15h ago
He’s going to call it election interference and try to sue them and threaten to pull their broadcast licenses.
I need to join polymarket and place a bet.
29
u/Hopsblues 15h ago
If you do watch, don't watch on CBS.
15
u/PrincipleNo3966 15h ago
Go to the gym. They're always playing Fox news.
27
u/IsThisNickTaken_ 14h ago
Sorry that your gym does that to you.
5
u/Nazz1968 13h ago
Sounds like the gyms have a Fox News Pete Hegseth gym bro culture thing going on. His recent 44 bench presses at Gitmo were pathetic.

Is there anywhere we can watch where we won’t be counted towards any sort of metric? I kind of want to watch so I’m aware of the full context/extent of what he’s saying (like you mentioned in another comment) but I don’t like the idea of boosting his ego with viewership stats

u/Amazing_Ear_3941 15h ago
I usually catch stuff like this second hand, via Bryan Taylor Cohen, Jesse Dolormore, or Farron Balanced on YouTube. I have no interest in hearing Trump's mouth diarrhea for however long he chooses to spew it - clips are more than enough for me.

u/Hopsblues 15h ago
It'll probably be on C-span, but giving your ratings hit to CNN vs Fox or CBS is better than missing it entirely. I imagine there might be some Youtube channels that will cover it.
7
u/GuaranteedCougher 14h ago
Just read a transcript after. Whatever he talks about won't be time sensitive

u/flossdaily 15h ago
Given Trump's history of using the Big Lie to attempt a coup and incite an insurrection, this seems like the responsible thing to do.
On the other hand, nothing is going to stop the tsunami of lies that spill forth from this guy. Whatever he says will be everywhere by the end of the night.
Certainly, at a minimum tonight he will try to plant doubts about the election in the event of a Democratic victory.
Slightly worse would be rhetoric laying the groundwork for cancelling the election.
I don't think he's done the legwork to flat out cancel the election today, but he gets more demented every day, so I guess we'll see.
7
u/KyloWrench 13h ago
Get ready for a flood replies of “um ahctually, he’s not allowed to cancel elections” from the mouth breathers who still think what is “allowed” is relevant to this administration
25
u/1776cookies 15h ago
Once this is done, if a network does something like this, it's easier to become trustworthy.
8
u/Amatheiaisnoexcuse 14h ago
Only because they saw how much money CBS is losing pushing the traitors propaganda. Not because they are good CEO's. They were happy to air his lies repeatedly over the last 14 years because they were making money off it.

u/ilovemybaldhead 14h ago
Clicksaver:
ABC and NBC will opt to stream Trump’s speech at 9 pm EST [sic] on their streaming platforms, rather than carry it live on their networks. NBC says that it will broadcast a special report when the speech concludes.

At some point people have to realize that they are culpable. Voters, media, the church, etc.

I don't know if this is a good thing or not. On one hand, Trump is a Egomaniac that Lives for Attention and Praise. On the other hand, I'm afraid of what the President might get up to when no one is paying attention. The fact that pretty much EVERY MSM owner is in bed with Trump, I can't believe they're ignoring this speech "in protest"

We can read about a 5 point summary in the morning.

u/BensenJensen 13h ago
- “….evil Socialists!”
- “….radical Leftist violence!”
- “….stolen elections!”
- “….greatest economy ever!”
- “….even more stolen elections!”
There you go.

u/weHaveThoughts 13h ago
I’m sure he is also going to say everyone who opposes him and Republicanism are Terrorists and enforcing NSPM7.
6
u/Hopsblues 15h ago
I watch him all the time because I want to keep track of what he is saying, up to. The news tends to sanitize his and the administrations comments and having full context is helpful.
5
u/shajurzi 15h ago
They'll report on it. Just not provide him with an audience to spew BS unchecked. I say Bravo.
1
u/Blacksad9999 13h ago
It's not like the content of the speech will be secret.
It's going to be him relitigating the election he lost, and how the SAVE Act to stop people from voting is paramount.
We can read about it after the fact if inclined.
1
u/catharsisdusk 13h ago
It's AMAZING how much faith people STILL HAVE in a System that has been REPEATEDLY proven to prioritize PERSONAL PROFIT over an unfiltered dissemination of the TRUTH.
2
u/Blacksad9999 13h ago
That's a really stupid way to type anything.
Nobody needs to watch this, and Trump loves to cite ratings numbers.
We can simply read the cliff notes after.
2
u/SouldiesButGoodies84 15h ago
Is it really confirmed then? They were just speculating a hour or two ago.

I will wait for recaps throughout the weekend on my local news but I’m sure they are all tracked as well. I at least won’t be giving my “live” attention to a wandering, out of touch person, just in case one of them happens to speak. 😂
1
u/VashtaSyrinx 14h ago
Good. I'm guessing it is just gonna be a speech on the crooked violence communist leftists
1
u/GuaranteedCougher 14h ago
Any speech from the White House that's just him complaining about Democrats should be considered campaigning, and they should charge him the rate they charge for campaign ads

Trump has proven himself to be a liar and bullshitter. Ignoring him is the right call.
-1
u/just-readingit 14h ago
I get why you’re all glad they’re not airing it on a major network. But keep in mind this means the dew mouth south that helped to put him in office will not see his probable psychotic episode as they can’t afford cable.
3
u/Freud-Network 14h ago
Your talking about people who have Fox News pumped directly into their souls. They'll watch this rant with baited breath and wait for Hanity to tell them how to feel about it.

aww... they can expect a law suit in 3,2,1...

u/Modem_Sound_67 14h ago
I think a high-profile case is exactly what would be needed to demonstrate the absurdity of it.
1
u/Elegant_Situation285 10h ago
and what would they sue for?
i want to see you write this out and explain how a lawsuit would fit into this.

I hate Trump and I hate censorship. This is not right.

u/recovery_room 15h ago
NBC and ABC have every right to choose what they air in their networks. If I call up NBC and say I want to make a statement on their network it wouldn’t be censorship when they refused.
6
5
u/Lickmyrucksack 15h ago
I don’t see it as censorship, it’s a free market. I don’t believe they have an obligation to show it. It’s a business that runs heavily on ad revenue. Also, I am just waiting for their licenses to be threatened after this move. Anyways, both NBC and ABC will be airing it on their streaming platforms, just not the broadcast network.

u/SouldiesButGoodies84 15h ago
This is a abuse of power that Trump is employing here. You don't see that? It's not a SOTU address or official statement. It's propaganda. It is right to push back against its proliferation. If he wants to push these proven lies then he can do so in his social media or during press conferences or put out a WH press statement.

Good, we have enough diarrhea from bad lettuce since he also cut FDA funding.
