Even before that, the party of 'family values' claimed Dems were the immoral ones, always sleeping around and cheating on their spouses. Then they elected Donald 'kid fkr' Trump.

duped is a funny word. It implies trump voters were not enthralled with exactly who trump is.

Remember the silent majority? They were neither.

3

u/a_Sable_Genus Mar 03 '26

While spending years filling out this list so Maga knew who to vote for.

Republicans catching real sex crime charges in detail

The good old accused the other side of what we are doing has worked on many that think Ivermectin has what the plants crave. It has electrolytes!

They are already calling into podcasts asking what's wrong with child rape, and then you have them saying 15 year olds aren't really an issue.

This is all while they ignore Republicans catching real sex crime charges and many of them include minors. 1500+ cases listed so far.

This doesn't even cover the financial crimes and grifting

Fuk them and the Pedophiles they support

2

u/Crazy-Math4376 Mar 02 '26

but they are ya read the Epstein file is all democrats even trump was democrat

2

u/Legitimate-Fox-9272 Mar 03 '26

And war mongers. Don't forget how dems are the ones that start wars. Like desert storm and then the full invasion of Afghanistan. Oh shit, both were Republicans and also dad and son. Yes, dems have done shit too but seriously, this argument is stupid.

3

u/Fraggle_5 Mar 02 '26

they were... but mostly the Republicans it would seem...  at least now most of the dem members are trying to expose the abusers

I kind of love older web design like this.

It reminds me of when the internet was full of indipendent interesting websites. Not just 6 sites owned by corporations and billionaires.

7

u/SunTzu- Mar 02 '26

It's functional, rather than a slick design that aims to keep you trapped because you can't find what you're looking for.

2

u/Baby_BooDoo Mar 02 '26

So bizarre with the Jewish peeps. You suffer genocide, then you decide you want to try it yourself? WTF y’all. An Americans get shit for not standing up to their shitty leader?! Yeah, ya’ll need to write a strongly worded letter at least

"The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research ship (a spy ship), USS Liberty, by Israeli Air Force jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy motor torpedo boats, on 8 June 1967, during the Six-Day War. Both the Israeli and United States governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the ship's identity."

I had never heard about this incident.

9

u/arittenberry Mar 02 '26

Much doubt that it was actually a mistake

I was a 10yo Australian youth. I had no idea when Israel had become an enemy of the USA. It took so time for me to understand that some mistakes are strategic mistakes! Later, as a teen, I researched the event and came to a more logical understanding.

2

They literally elected a life long con man and convicted fraudster who's entire personality is built around lying constantly, after he already had one term where he demonstrated very publicly that he lies about everything.

5

I do believe there shouldn't be special preferences on financial anything when it comes to warring. System of a down said it best, presidents should fight. One on one in a ring, first to get knocked out is the loser without having to sacrifice the masses.

Exhausted of the political environment, politics broken down, poli meaning many and tics being blood suckers.

"Isolated" yet "strategic and large scale"

208

u/Patient_Sea_3753 Mar 02 '26

To Americans, it's not war unless you put infantry in country. Until then it's just "bombings."

127

u/audaciousmonk Mar 02 '26

Plenty of us consider it an act of war. Bombing a country is almost always an act of war

36

u/HuCat21 Mar 02 '26

It's crazy how their overlord will call it a war but they'll just say that's not what he actually means just to try to win an argument smh

3

u/GRex2595 Mar 02 '26

It's because war has a lot of potential issues nationally and internationally. If they can sell it as not being a war and just being a special military operation, then they can avoid some of those issues. So even though they know it's war and Trump effectively said it's a war, they have to change the messaging. It's all a lie.

3

u/Parking_Attitude7954 Mar 03 '26

Don't forget that it's done by the "Department of War" too!

12

u/StrangeContest4 Mar 02 '26

Others (MAGA) want to make it sound totally normal and totally cool. "It's just how it is now. We bomb countries and take out the leaders we don't like. That's not war, it's just what empires do🤷🏻‍♂️."

2

u/Monkey_Priest Mar 02 '26

FWIW, it ain't just MAGA who says that. Plenty of centrists will point out the precedent of Presidents taking these actions and how they are technically within the POTUS's power. They may find it disagreeable, but many in that category accept it. MAGA agrees with these attacks, a lot of centrist view them as acceptable

14

u/Patient_Sea_3753 Mar 02 '26

I guess I should say, your average schlub who watches it on the news after work over a Big Mac.

5

u/DesireeThymes Mar 02 '26

u/galaxy_horse Mar 02 '26

Then when the infantry is there it's still not war, it's a "peacekeeping operation"

6

u/Eastern_Equal_8191 Mar 02 '26

If it doesn't come from the Boots on the Ground region, it's just a sparkling conflict

2

u/InitiativeFar2475 Mar 02 '26

An initial act of war is part of the war. If someone tries to get technical and say the war begins only after the initial act, excluding that act, I think they are missing the point. Many times the catalyst action is at least as deadly, sometimes due to an aspect of surprise, as later actions taken in the war.

So was the bombing of buildings housing Iran’s leadership an act of war? (Not that Iran’s leadership is anything for Americans to cry about - quite the opposite.) Answer: Was the bombing of Pearl Harbor an act of war? We all know it was. And yet there were no boots on the ground. Then it is reasonable to view the United States and Iran to now be at war.

Side note: Under the United Nations Charter (1945), aggressive war is prohibited except in self-defense or with Security Council authorization. Because of that legal framework, countries often avoid formally declaring war even when large-scale fighting occurs. So war does not have to be declared for there to be a war.

2

u/Egonomics1 Mar 03 '26

Oh no no. To Americans this is just exhilarating sports on TV.

It is so ridiculous to hear an adult try to explain how taking out the leadership of a foreign country and destroying military targets, in the middle of the night, with missiles is not an act of war. Pearl Harbor? 9/11?

78

u/Shigglyboo Mar 02 '26

Trump had to kill those 100+ children in an elementary school so Iran would stop making nukes that were apparently set back decades.

Gotta commend the Iranians hard work on rebuilding decades of destroyed work.

3

2

u/YoreWelcome Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

they are doing this to avoid anything close to the real conversations that need to be had in the media

i feel like we need to all form a unified front and boycott liars by calling them liars to their faces... "that's a lie, you just lied, you are lying" and more importantly hold the subject on "why did you just lie? why did you decide to lie about this? what makes you want to lie right now?"

and if they lie about lying we need to cut them off and say we dont negotiate with liars

im sick of people taking advantage of what could be reasonable spaces for discussion by hogging all the time with patently absurd falsehoods that are obviously false to everyone in the discussion and forcing the discussion to be about the claims no matter how absurd they are

fact checking takes time, but some things that people are claiming are contrary to common sense so at least we can force them to make up better lies that arent as easy to notice...

In Civ 6, you can only bomb someone if you’re at war with them. I see it as, once you bomb a country, it’s open season. You don’t have to declare formal war for them to enact revenge. You started it. They have every right to get mad and retaliate. And that’s what war is. No formal declaration required.

3

u/agentSmartass Mar 02 '26

The UN General Assembly’s Resolution 3314 explicitly defines the bombardment of another state’s territory as an act of aggression, equivalent to invasion. You don’t need «boots on the ground» to be at war.

That would be insane. If so everyone could be bombaring one another with missiles and nukes and it would just be business as usual, office hours before lunch break.

This is just White House spin doctoring to slalom around legal terms and terminology. Which, by the way, Politico says has no legal argument.

7

u/ifYouWantMyLuv Mar 02 '26

Bombings have an interesting history and can I say they are actually quite counterintuitive in achieving their stated goals.

For over a hundred years military doctrine has revolved around the reality of bigger, more precise and more efficiently delivered aerial bombs on an adversary's civilian and political infrastructure. The idea being that wars will be shorter, less casualty causing and determined by who can achieve air superiority and can break the will and infrastructure of the bombed nation.

The reality of even the most vicious bombing campaigns is that breaking the will of a nation through aerial bombing is rarely achieved. Japan surrendered after receiving two nuclear bombs but look at counter examples like London during the blitz, North Korea, or Nazi Germany. In many cases the people being bombed become embattled and more willing to resist the bombing.

Bro just having an open motor boat in the Southern Carib heading North is an act of war against the US apparently.

Stop using facts and common sense to point out the hypocrisy of our reasons for the invasion! How dare you! /s

Side note: the dude is just watching the show. He knows when to sit quiet and let the women sort it out. No mansplaining or interjections. Well done dude.

If Denmark tried to kill trump, to force a leadership change that would be ok then?

After all, trump is a treat to Denmark and has made statements about invading Greenland.

...but its not war if they do so.

This is literally the same exact double speak the Obama admin used to justify its interventions in Libya and Syria.

The best answer to « do you see boots on the grounds? » would have been « nah just bombs, you must be right, this isn’t war, war requires boots not bombs! »

u/AnyBug1039 Mar 02 '26

I think if you punch someone in the face, you don't really get to say "it's not a fight" - if the person hits you back and the punches continue on both sides, it's a fight.

For a country that hasn't been legally at war since like WW2 (last recognition/declaration of war by Congress) we've really done a lot of war stuff lately. Wonder what that's about.

1

u/Iwabuti Mar 02 '26

America, is redefining war. It's a virtual war. Only ever from afar. No boots on the ground. Easy. Only on social media

The only condition that isn't getting redefined is that idea that when you say it will be "over by Christmas" it won't. "Christmas" being that eternal desire that war ends when one side wants it to.

How many f15's were shot down today? I have seen atleast two. But thats how it is according to trump....

1

u/charlton11 Mar 02 '26

Didn't the US' Supreme Leader use the term war the other day?

1

u/2sAreTheDevil Mar 02 '26

Oh man, if *any* U.S. area was subject to a missile attack, military base, political building, or other, the majority of America would collectively lose their shit and call for war. It would probably be one of the most bipartisan issues in this generation if it were to occur.

r/gifsthatendtoosoon
