If there was Healthcare I wouldn't care what the rich was doing.

You should always care what the rich are doing.

They're dismantling our Healthcare system right now. And our politics. And our worker's rights. Makes me think that maybe, just maybe, people simply shouldn't be able to aggregate so much wealth and power in the first place.

Healthcare didn’t exist for the majority of human existence. Why do you think someone else is required to do something for you without you doing anything or paying them. I bet you wouldn’t work for free. I’m not against health care, and wish you the best with whatever you have going on, but think about it.

This is about the USA. Our current system costs billions more than a government run healthcare (much like every other civilized country on the planet). And for the record the internet, cell phones, modern sanitation, the printing press, guns, satellites, glasses, cars, underwear, also didn’t exist for the majority of human existence.

My god... All the way from Europe, I hope you can hear me :

  1. Why would you deny anyone their health ? If the people who are better off can sustain a system where EVERYBODY can be cared for, why would you deny it? It seems like basic human decency to strive for such a thing. If someone who is struggling in life because of bad choices (or of no fault of his/her own, it can happen) has a child who needs healthcare, you'd prefer telling that person "No money, no healthcare for your dying child, sorry"?

  2. In the vast majority of cases, IT IS NOT FREE!!! You pay into a system that provides for you when you need it. How is this so difficult to understand? The wealthy pay more because they can, the poor pay less, and everybody is cared for. Please for the love of god explain to me why you wouldn't want that? I would want that however (un)wealthy I was. I would want it for you, for me, for the poor, for the lazy, for the people who made bad choices, for the people who vote against it, for EVERYONE!!! (gary_oldman.gif) It didn't exist for the majority of human existence but it does now and it should be a basic human right along side shelter water and food.
