It’s also that she intentionally has decided to age in her own way, without bending to what men like him say women should look like at her age. This guy is just pissed she doesn’t care what he thinks.

187

u/Tulcey-Lee 17d ago

I love that she’s done this.
Back in the 90’s I never thought Pammy would be the one to do this.
I’m 40 and I’ve never looked anywhere near as good as her, nor will I but it’s so refreshing and somewhat comforting to see a woman like that not care what others think.

132

u/AutumnMama 17d ago

Yep you can tell she just got up one day and decided she was done with all the bullshit.

And in response to anyone who says she's aged poorly... She's small and pale. Always has been. She used to hide it under makeup but she's always looked like this. And she got her breast implants removed. The horror! Oh wait, no, it's actually a real life dystopian horror that she had to get them in the first place.

11

u/StrainAcceptable 16d ago

Yeah. She looks amazing without makeup. And her body is still ridiculous. Obviously this douche didn’t see showgirl.

I agree. I’m also someone who enjoys the au natural look and I’ve never felt unconfident in how I look until someone rudely points out I look ill or tired 😂 then I have a wobble.

I then remind myself I can’t actually be arsed to slap makeup on just so people think I look better. I’m pale and that’s how it is so suck it up.

You are so right! So much of the pain in the world is dealt out by people that just can’t live with themselves and their own thoughts. Growing older and realizing that was so shocking to me!

Or he's just a wanker who thinks women should look eternally hot and is offended if he has to exist in the same area as a woman who he deems not fuckable. I'll bet he also has horrible takes on women who are not skinny and traditionally attractive too, not just women who have gotten older.

Yep, googling his name he is also very hateful towards fat people. So there you go, don't give him any credit :P

I'm 47 and seeing all these actors I use to watch as a kid in the 80s and as a teen in the 90s all die recently.

Like Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds and Jackson from Bloodsport he died very recently and also the other Carradine brother from Revenge of the Nerds the guy with glasses the lead nerd he also died recently.

His momma & grandma might not have stuck around long enough for him to be able to witness normal female aging up close. Also, PA was obviously in the sun A LOT. Let’s normalize sunscreen, healthy sun exposure, SHADE from the sun & not social media, & not acting like the pinnacle of womanhood is becoming permanently beholden to a POS & shooting out his semi-POS spawn!!

Diane Lane, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, Salma Hayek, Angela Bassett, Julianne Moore, Connie Britton have all for the most part aged gracefully and at times embraced their age and all still look incredible. Right, she didn’t age like milk she just doesn’t look like his preferred porn fantasy body anymore. She just aged. Many of these guys just get mad they don’t stay the same like a Barbie, and call that aging like milk. Definitely mad cause they actually just want to be sugars daddies with many young women, but can’t afford that or they believe they deserve beautiful women just throwing themselves at them😂So they whine and moan about not being able to find a beautiful wife servant for free

63

u/One-Jelly8264 17d ago

And it’s funny, because then these types proceed to complain that women are gold digging hoes who are only after their money.

So they hate older women because they think they deserve a young hot thing even if they get old, and they hate younger hot women because they think young beautiful women are only after their money.

They just are full of hate, then wonder why they are never happy and are always insecure

17

u/drawntowardmadness 17d ago

This is because they don't actually like women.

Only their penises do.

I think she actually looks pretty good today.

Also, in the first picture she has shit tons of professional makeup and probably spent a lot of time on her hair. Basically, wearing a costume of a cartoonishly over the top impression of a woman.

On the right she looks like a natural human being. And she still looks good.

On the left she looks kinda "slutty" (forgive the term) in a provocative way - and that's what production was going for because "sex sells". Provocative being the key word. On the right she looks like a real kind, sweet, empathetic person.

31

u/BasketOld3242 17d ago

You’re right, it is a costume of a woman. Myron should marry a drag queen, it would satisfy all his requirements.

8

u/Hopeful_Hamster21 17d ago

You know, I'm a straight white man, so I recognize that I'm not the typical demographic that thinks much about drag...

But some drag queen I was getting drinks with a while back said "the whole world is drag". I later learned that's a saying, that queen didnt just make it up on the spot.

But I've thought about it, a lot. Anything from a Cop uniform to a Dr.'s white coat to a military uniform to a nurses scrubs to office-wear... all of it is a costume.

I grew up fairly blue collar, so for me everything was utilitarian. Steel toe boots, pants and shirts that are tear resistant but cheap enough you dont care if you fuck em up, etc...

The way I see it: the more utilitarian, the less drag. The less utilitarian, the more drag. Nurses scrubs obviously have a utilitarian purposes, so bad example on my part, but you get the idea.

I'd argue she looks great.

298

u/djdaem0n 17d ago

Also consider the fact that in that first picture she has been made up for a tv show. And in the second picture, she's made a decision to not wear make-up in public anymore. So that is her with a clean face. If you want a fair comparison, here is a shot of her from her latest movie WITH make-up.

115

u/glyph_productions 17d ago

What is shocking and should be discussed more is that people are shocked to see a 58 year old woman without a full face of makeup on any screen. Normalize grand parent aged people being allowed to look like grand parents. My grandma died at 60 and looked a lot like Pamela in that second picture but with strawberry blonde permed hair. My memory of her is looking like a grand mother. But my grandfather used to talk about what a looker she was all the time, well after she was no longer with us. She was just allowed to age without some turbo douche jumping online to talk about how she didn't look good. Pamela should be too

65

u/SnidgetAsphodel 17d ago

Normalize women not being required to wear makeup to be considered pretty. Shoutout to my fellow ladies: You are beautiful without it. Only wear it for you, if it makes you happy.

She’s 58 years old and looks fairly normal for her age, but she’s also gone make up free and that makes a huge difference. She spent decades in the sun and it shows. (Again that is normal for UV exposure)

25

u/Brave-Perspective714 17d ago

Not to mention that the Hepatitis C her ex-husband gave her is well known to cause accelerated aging.

90

u/Educational_Gas_92 17d ago

Ok, this would make sense. It would actually explain the virulent resentment he has for women, he might subconsciously blame women for not feeling attracted to them...perhaps? Don't get me wrong, it's fine to have certain standards for a partner, we don't all like the same and that is ok, but Myron shows such disdain for women, that him being in the closet wouldn't impress me.

I used to just think it as a joke but I’m finding it increasingly evident whenever a guy has aggressive, “what the fuck is wrong with you?” energy.

I worked with this guy a few years ago with whom i initially got on pretty well . We had lots of common interests and etc. He gradually got super mean to me for no reason. Over time I noticed a weird habit of talking about how much sex he had with women. When I told my wife this new guy was turning into such a weird asshole she was like, “he has a crush on you.” I was like, no way!

Sure enough, I later found out he got progressively gayer every time he had a few drinks in him (I’m sober so I never went out with my coworkers)

And now a lot of these manosphere guys are turning out to be grifters or gay or both.

I’ve known at least two casual misogynists that were very clearly in the closet. One in particular was practically obsessed with hating on trans people, it was completely obvious he wanted them sexually but he. just. couldn’t. see. it. At least, not consciously. The dude was at the point he was sending people pics of trans surgeries and asking us what we thought about it, and no matter how many times the group chat told him enough was enough, he was like a man possessed. This was in the midst of him going full on MAGA. It was so much like Mac from Its Always Sunny I swear they must have been observing my friend for years. Even down to the fact he started taking testosterone/anabolic steroid injections to get huge. He was a walking talking defense mechanism.

25

u/Purp_Rox 17d ago

Yea I left a dude at a bar for this exact thing. First off dude sashayed to our table, and I knew then, but I'm bi so whatever. Out of nowhere 20 minutes into dinner he starts going off about gay men, and about how if his son ever told him he was gay he'd disown him.

I stared him straight in the eye and said "I hope you and your future husband live a great life" and walked smooth out. These people are blind.

My mom has a friend in his 60s who's never been married and the things he says about aging women are so horrendous he deserves to die alone. He said something like, "I'm a man and I know men and their wives just don't look good to them anymore. The only reason they don't divorce them is because they don't want to lose half their assets." It's sad that it doesn't occur to him that some men actually love their wives thru life's ups and downs and everything they've experienced together makes them beautiful and still the person who feels like home for them.

Or why even with money, Keely Shaye don't/won't have any procedures. Like damn, if the husband is happy with how the wife is and vice versa, who are these people to tell them to get a "better" model.

Telling women that we’re all going to eventually be ugly and useless in the eyes of men definitely doesn’t make us want to get married.

If anything, it makes us afraid of getting married and becoming mothers as you’re basically telling us that any man we marry will eventually find us disgusting and seek to get rid of us. Because we…lived to see menopause? Got stretch marks after growing and birthing humans? Uhh thanks I think I’ll pass.

u/RazeCrusher 17d ago

If it helps put your mind at ease, I've been with my wife since we were in our late teens. I'm 40 now, have our 3rd child on the way, and my feelings haven't changed. Sure, she has a little belly flab, stretchmarks, maybe things aren't as tight and perky as they used to be, but hell, neither am I. I'm not the handsome young guy I used to be. You learn to love the new things about your partner and their body. Not better or worse, just different. We all get older, saggy skin, wrinkles, Grey hair. A guy who actually loves you isn't going to be bothered by these types of changes. Id still rather be with my wife than anyone else.

Point I'm trying to make is, for a lot of men out there that aren't superficial assholes, most of that stuff doesn't bother us, so dont let it keep you from trying to find happiness!

(And before anyone "but aktually..." me, yes, theres a difference between natural body changes and completely letting yourself go and giving up. Not what I'm talking about.)

Exactly. It's a warning AGAINST marriage. Why would we want to invest the best years of our lives into a relationship with someone who's just going to betray us when we get older and replace us with a younger model? If you believe what he's saying here, the only rational choice is to avoid marriage and invest in yourself.

23

u/lilgamerontheprarie 17d ago

Most men won’t be able to replace you because younger women don’t want them. Instead, they will just stay with you and silently resent you while watching porn in the basement.

A minority will continue to love you through life’s ups and downs, but I’m not willing to risk all the bad outcomes for the off chance things actually go well.

24

u/Tijopi 17d ago

It genuinely confuses me why these guys think telling women they're unlovable as soon as they show signs of aging would make us want to rush into marriage and kids. My only explanation is they're projecting their own fears of dying alone and think we'd rather be with someone who's disgusted by our bodies.

13

u/DisturbingRerolls 17d ago

Can confirm.

If my only value to you is my appearance, I'll show you the door. I will get older and sicker, as is the nature of... you know, living and ageing as an animal.

You are a dangerous investment indeed if you will run away because your partner is mortal.

12

u/A-town 17d ago

Right??? You're basically screaming from the roof tops that you see women as objects and baby making factories instead of human beings with sentience. I wouldn't be surprised if this person never understood the concept that another living soul on this planet had a thought of their own. We're really failing these kids if these pieces of shit are who they look up to, Jesus Christ.

Goddammit that woman is so hot.

I'm a middle aged straight woman, I had a Pammy sticker in my pencil case in the 90s and still would (if I had a pencil case).

Edit to explain.

I'm British and in the UK in the 90s it was popular for girls to carry their school pens etc around in a little tin or bag called a pencil case. One would decorate this item with doodles, art and stickers.

Teenage magazines used to have a couple of pages of stickers with pictures of celebrities in the middle, they were perfect for decorating items like pencil cases.

Whew that was so much context I wish I'd never commented in the first place. This woman is a babe though is what I meant.

What I find interesting, in fact fascinating, isn’t that Pam looks like she’s aging. It’s that she hit a period where she very publicly stopped performing femininity. Most don’t. Especially if their career was rooted in how they look. It’s expected for women to kind of cling to it with both hands. And absolutely no intention to disrespect those that do. Demi Moore, Dolly Parton, Charro to name a few. Their public personas were built in part using their performance of femininity and have reliably and I think gracefully maintained the persona.

Pam didn’t. She very intentionally and very publicly began to appear at events as Pamela Anderson and not “Pamela Anderson!”

Deliberately setting that performance aside, making explicit that it is and always was a performance, especially as a woman that was both loved and hated for that performance, is incredibly brave. and kind of a Boss move tbh.

I think its fascinating.

They're like petty children on the playground always changing the rules to make sure they always win. Fucking buffoons.

Just as bad are the wannabe trad wives who think "It won't be me, I'll be the ONE that stays happy forever."

I know who he is because of Louis Theroux's Inside the Manosphere documentary. He is a horrible person who views women as property. He got visibly nervous when Louis tried to talk to his girlfriend and kept trying to get her to leave.

34

I just finished watching it and I'm genuinely so thankful that the majority of the comments in here seem to be acknowledging he's a douche-nozzle. Sometimes this sub can be... yeah... so it's a nice surprise.

Just be tellin on himself.

23

And she’s totally sans makeup.

I’m sure she’d look like all the other Hollywood actress her age if she were to cake herself up.

I think it’s refreshing.

A woman who was at the centre of the male gaze for decades, decides to stop and take a step back focus on healthy (both physical and mental) living and aging gracefully.

They hate her because she rejected everything they wanted her to be

I LOVE her no makeup look! She looks fantastic and NOT like a plastic blowup doll, which so many women unfortunately seem to feel they need to look like these days.

17

u/grania17 17d ago

Her face is still the same. Like if you look closely at the two photos her nose, mouth, eyes, chin etc are all the same, she just aged.

It's so refreshing to see that instead of the alien faces of so many other actors/actresses. Like there are people who don't even look like themselves because they've done so much work.

She waa beautiful then and is beautiful now and god I love the power she has of not giving a fuck.

235

u/Global_Charge_4412 17d ago

he goes by Myron Gaines, a closeted gay Muslim who goes on the Internet and tells women that they're whores and need to return to traditional gender roles. he preaches the value of stoicism while being a fragile little bitch who throws tantrums at the slightest provocation. he runs his vapid, shitty podcast with another knuckledragging toolbag named Walter. both of them are total simps who pay for sex.

Oh, and he very badly wants to be a white man. he even went to that white nationalist rally (I think it's called the RNC) asking to be let in and then got offended when they didn't recognize him as one of the good ones.

We the Muslims delegation while accept his declaration of faith do not accept him as a well respected member of our community.

After all every Muslim loved Pamela Anderson in the 90’s (men and women) no matter how conservative they were and how much skin she showed 🤣 her and Michael Jackson were loved by all the adults (I am a 90’s kid)

She was in icon in the 90s and now it’s 36 years later. Is she not supposed to age?! She decided to age gracefully and not look uncanny by getting extreme plastic surgery. This society has blinded people so much, they don’t know what aging naturally looks like anymore.

20

u/drewbeedeu 17d ago

I'm gonna wager that Myron is single... and has a tiny weiner

21

u/kgklineman 17d ago

“Almost 40 years later she doesn’t look like she’s 20 anymore! Whaaa women aren’t people, they’re life support for fuckholes!” Is what this reads as.
