Solo for the 1st time!

So this will be my 11th straight NYCC but my 1st as a solo traveler (my usual group just couldn’t swing it this year, it’s tough out there 😅)

For those of you that’ve done the con solo do you find yourself gravitating towards certain events/areas of the con more with the freedom of being alone and more nimble?

Also more than happy to meet up with anyone who needs the help or just a friendly face at the con! I could probably navigate the Javits blindfolded at this point 😂

Should I just go Friday or Friday + Sunday?

This is my first Nycc ( not a con novice, been to plenty others) and I was wondering if its worth adding on sunday to my trip?

My friend group is mostly interested in dealers room/artist alley. We would love to do some panels as well and meet maybe one or two celebrity guests but with one day, we doubt we will be able to.

We were debating sunday as a extra day but we have heard negative reviews about sundays.

What do you think? Is it worth adding on Sunday and if we do, is there anything we should focus on doing Friday that won’t be available sunday?

Thanks!

Marvel Guests

As of me posting this, it is the 12th of July and we STILL have not gotten any big names dropped yet for Marvel. I understand that we all need to be patient and this is gonna be my first NYCC experience but I have a good chunk of money on me rn so I’m desperately waiting for a huge name to be dropped. Fan expo Boston just announced Chris Evans so im hoping NYCC can bring him back or anyone so I can have a chance to meet them. But what Marvel guests you think should come this year for the 20th anniversary?

3D printed weapons allowed ?

Post image
100 Upvotes

it’s my first time going to nycc and also my first time bringing any weapon props to a convention so i’m just wondering if these would be okay. i’m attaching a picture of my (unfinished lol) requiem but my friend will also have a 3d printed glock 19. each gun is 3d printed so both very lightweight and both will have a bright colored tip at all times !!

Comparing VIP Prices for Florida Supercon

https://www.floridasupercon.com/en-us/buy/tickets.html?utm_source=Eloqua&utm_campaign=FLASC2026_Visit_Aware_Acqui_E_06_Jul_Supercon_this_week%20&utm_medium=email&utm_term=F&utm_id=F&querytoken=QG5m0cuJ2gbz11KbXYVbhJz2FXPu3BpbWTPs1HddJukN1gPRGH%2BYVBfpIA0DTLUszLq8cSIgrc9BOr6WYdepnw%3D%3D

Single VIP badge pretty much matches what they are offering at NYCC currently.

They separated the special celeb meet and greet and even have one that guarantees a seat at the cosplay contest too. I just feel grabbing the cosplay one isn't

But yo, the VIP family bundle $436 for 2 Adult VIP and 2 Kids VIP tickets. That is a steal, and it comes with $40 in food vouchers.

TBH offering food vouchers to multiday badge holders as an add on wouldn't be the worst idea.

Al; I hope is Reedpop better be testing out these ticket options for next years NYCC.

This is my first time going to Nycc. What can I expect?

I have always wanted to attend a Comic-Con, and I am unsure of exactly what to expect. Will there be foods to try? Free loot to find? Activities? I cannot find all too much on the website, so I am curious.

Edit: Thanks, guys. I wasn’t sure if stuff is already posted or not. I know that it’s still a ways away, but I was just curious what is out already to know about.

I’m hoping there’ll be something cool for the new avengers movie and big game releases like ocarina, cuphead, etc.

Panel(s) or just photo ops/autographs?

Actors from Smallville and Superman & Lois were added as guests, but since Saturday is sold out, I'm wondering if anyone thinks they'll just have photo ops and autographs or some sort of panel as well. They'll also be there on Sunday, so if a panel seems unlikely, I'd like to get a ticket for Sunday now. I've only been once before, so I'm not sure and don't want to wait and have tickets sell out for Sunday as well. Thanks for any help

How to find out about associated/off-site events?

I’ve attended NYCC for the past seven years in a row so I’m not a newbie, but last year was the first time I attended any off-site events. Specifically, the performance by Troy Baker at City Winery and one of the after-parties by sonic boombox. Here’s the thing, though: I only found out about these two events by chance, and at the last minute. I found out about Troy’s performance only because the woman in front of me in line for a picture with him and the rest of the cast of the Last of Us asked me if I was going and I was like “Um…what?” 😂 And I only found out about the sonic boombox after-party by stumbling across it on this sub.

So: is there some sort of systemized way to find out about affiliated/off-site events? If not, how do y’all find out about them? I know they’re not advertised on the NYCC website, but there must be some way that people know about them in advance other than by happenstance, right? (I should note that I largely choose not to use social media, for various reasons; but even if I did, following/subscribing to every social media feed for anything I might ever conceivably be interested in isn’t feasible, at least not for me.)

ada at nycc

hello there! i will be attending nycc for the first time in october on friday, and i was wondering how the ada will be? i read their website, it seems pretty straight forward, but i wanted to see if anyone had any input on how it has been in the past!

i will be using a wheelchair for this con, i normally use a walker on a day to day basis but a wheelchair is probably better for a con like this. what are the accommodations like? is the staff usually helpful?

anything information is useful to know! thank you in advance!

Do you have to assign tickets?

I bought tickets for my husband and I for this years NYCC. Do I have to transfer his ticket to him?

I just think it would be easier to reserve like photo ops and signings under the same account, but I'm not sure what the process is really like, as this is my first time attending.

guest list

i bought a ticket for saturday just hoping that the house of the dragon cast ( mainly tom glynn carney) comes. the guest announcements so far are disappointing me, and i have another con in october that’s looking way more appealing. im worried that if i buy tickets to that, the hotd cast is going to get announced. what do we think the odds are?

Looking for past freebies

Hi! This might be a long shot, but I know a few of you must be long time goers of nyc comic con, and I’m looking for some past freebies/ event items.

I think nycc had a few collabs with webtoon, i’m specifically looking for the freebie cards handed out in 2022 for the webtoon tower of god. If anyone has any and are willing to sell them to me, id be happy to buy them, and if youre happy to do international shipping too, if not, I have a US address you can ship to!

I think there was also a webtoon pin set, id be interested in the bam pin but I understand thats a bit more niche since you actually had to read a webtoon and collect them.

Please dm me if you have any youre willing to sell!

edit: I dont know why my post got sent like four times 😭im super sorry about that mods

No longer need the pins :)
