Then why should you always strive to be the alpha? Since not everyone can be. What if there is a better leader? Move to beta or delta?
Also you do know the guy that can up with the term disavowed it. Like wolves in the wild don’t have an alpha so much as a parents since most packs are families. It was only when you put wolfs into captivity did they fight for dominance.
Even if not. Humans are not animals. We have more complex social structures. We have different domains of leadership as well.
