Culture PJ Bored Game Night Meetup - Friday 17 Jul 7.30pm, Bored. Board Game Cafe
- Time: Friday 17 Jul, 7.30pm-Midnight (1st & 3rd Friday of each month)
- Place: Bored. Boardgame Cafe & etc , 78B, SS22/25, Damansara Jaya, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor- FB, TT, IG , Google Maps
- Cost: They have agreed to provide a special price of RM20 plus drink.
- Food: Plenty of snacks and finger food to choose from their menu and also from their full service restaurant downstairs Nichole’s for heavier meals. There is also a self service pantry with instant noodles and snacks. If that's not enough, plenty of eateries nearby.
- RSVP: RSVP here. The cafe tends to be busier on Fridays so they want to know how much space they need to reserve.
- Buddy System: We ask all our attendees to make sure you have someone accompanying you to the car. The area is generally safe (we've had one incident in roughly a year of this), but better safe than sorry. If you see someone leaving alone, let them know. Looking forward to seeing you there and getting our game on! Photos from past sessions (We used to do it at a different cafe.) # FAQ |Question|Answer| |:-|:-| |Is this beginner friendly?|Totally! Every game gets explained to the group before starting. A few new players come for every session and have a great time!| |What games will we be playing?|The board game cafe has a huge library to choose from; check out their FB page for photos. The cafe staff have been quite good at recommending fun games as well.| |Can I BYO?|The venue has asked that we don't bring our own food and drink.| |How do we get in touch on the night?|PM me your number if you'd like to be added to the WhatsApp group.| |Is there dinner beforehand?|We're leaving it to the group to self-organise on this as it's hard to coordinate the whole group plus a big booking etc.| |How many people attend?|We generally have 6-10 people per session. Attendance varies widely and it's hard to predict!| |When do events happen?|Once every week, though we alternate between bored and Adventurer's Hall.

Others It’s almost a month since LRT Shah Alam launched and we still dont have proper walk lanes.
This is at Dato Menteri station. I have to walk at bicycle lane to get home. Experienced a couple near misses from cars and motors. Grab is too expensive during peak hours. Rapid-On-Demand takes too long to pick up (30 mins+ waiting time). Is this the norm?

Others Neglected cat
Pet owners, please be careful when choosing where to leave your fur babies while you’re on vacation. This pet hotel neglects both their own cats and their customers’ cats.
Not to mention, the shop smells terrible. They have kept their own cats suffering from ringworm in small cages for months. The cages are overcrowded, and the environment is extremely dirty. They never properly deep clean the cages, leaving them full of feces. The food portions for each cat are also far too small. I already text the shop owner but they seems to see everything they did are right and have a reason for everything that happen.
Please help these cats. And to all pet owners, if you truly care about your cats, please don’t send them to a place like this.

Environment Eels (ikan linang) in Malaysian rivers
Like all (freshwater) true eels, they are catadromous.
This means they lay their eggs at sea where the larvae develop and then migrate upstream back to where their parents came from in the mountains.
They have special larval forms called leptocephali and glass eels. Glass eels are often collected by the millions by Chinese. They have also now been farmed here for export to other countries.
They range in size from the 40-60 cm shortfin eels, to the 200+ cm giant mottled eel.
All are called “ikan linang” in Malay, which differentiates them from the false/swamp eel “belut sawah”, a type of labyrinth fish (like Betta and gourami)

Education Do they teach cyber ethics in school now?
If it exist, thank God.
But if it's not, i think the government should make initiatives to implement this topic in maybe civic subject or IT subject.
