Streamer university is my fallback if I don’t get accepted to Trump university or the local clown college here.

u/crockoreptile 5h ago
Not Hustlers University?

They turned me down. I’m beta, or whatever Greek letter that signifies me as a loser.

Wait you are telling me I can legit graduate to be a clown? I always thought it was a figure of speech
This changes everything

u/Cl_nker_is_a_slur 5h ago
Yeah, but you have to learn how to ride an incredibly small bike. One of the guys in my class had a lot of trouble with it.

u/Rufus_king11 2h ago
You legitimately have enough options that there is a top 5 schools list. It's a very competitive field.

u/DiarrheaRadio 1h ago
How do you think Steve-o got started? No really, he graduated from a clown college.

Algorithm will only send you clips of what you watch usually. This is like that self expose guy who complained about p*rn ads lmao

u/yungasdf69 5h ago
i got an ad for a "gay vacation" (what exactly makes the vacation gay?) and i was wondering what i did to make youtube think im gay

I mostly got the usual mobile game ads with obvious AI characters. Then one day a game ad about AI dating simulator with loud moaning sound started being pushed. I had to close the app everytime the ad appears for a few days before youtube algorithm finally stopped showing them. Not sure if it's because people mass report the ad or I just got out of the target group.
20
u/Goldfish_Muncher 6h ago
That’s weird, my ads are all about jobs opportunities even though I don’t have one.
4
u/WhippingTheLammasASS 6h ago
Shoot I must be doing it wrong. I click all the porn ads and my shit is just regular ol brain rot shit with an occasional titty or something.

I swear my insta reels feed is full of goonbait clips and racist memes and i don't even use insta to watch reels. Idk but something weird is going on.

u/Zagubadu 2h ago
I love how quickly we've gone from... "Nothing is LISTENING to you, you are CRAZY targetted ads aren't real! It's just a coincidence!"
And now its "EVERY SINGLE AD IS TARGETTED AT YOU BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU SAY/VIEW/CLICK/WATCH!"
Like this may sound crazy but I think both exist. Also I get ads for tampons for a week straight on twitch mobile, now I get ads for tissues for a week straight it doesn't seem that targeted depending on the platform.

u/KoreanSamgyupsal 1h ago
That's not true anymore. You should watch the video with Devin Nash and he explains this.
Basically clipping has become so big nowadays that it actually overrides the algorithm. It essentially brute forces the algorithm. You don't watch one thing but theres 20 other videos of them from different clip channels. The algorithm doesn't prevent you from seeing it since it's not the same channel you blocked or they used a different format.
So even if you watch something slightly related, you will get their clips.

Probably, but it won’t do much since the dean of the school can’t read above a fifth grade level…

Streamer university gotta be the dumbest thing, reminds me of 2014 youtube where in my country they were tring to make a "youtuber" school that never went anywhere, this is obviously for content but even the idea is so cringe and it's people that want to get rich.
Most streamers including kai are famous by pure chance, being at the right place at the right time at the right clip.

u/RobertTheAdventurer 7h ago edited 7h ago
The point isn't education. It's content collab, a debut opportunity, and a scouting/networking/recruitment event. Actually in that sense it's a good education-through-experience opportunity.
Plenty of streamers have gotten popular based on one collab opportunity or tryout. If someone actually wants that for themselves and they can get into this event, they don't say no.

u/_Iroha 7h ago
It’s not an actual school just a big networking thing and a quite a few streamer university streamers last year did blow up and make a career

I mean I checked in today on Ludwigs stream and he sent like 10k viewers to a streamer who had maybe 200, and she got gifted subs and follows. People are there to network, grow, and expose themselves for potential new watchers
-2
u/Born_Cobbler_9383 3h ago
I hate how streamers don’t raid people more. Some people say you can raid but how many people are actually gonna stay but they’re giving that streamer exposure.
These people say you have to expand your work on other socials but giving some people the extra push can help in the long run for them. They probably got a lot of raids that made popular like they are now, just imagine helping a 1 -10 viewer streamer.
I’m kinda tired of seeing the same top creators always only doing collabs, I wanna see some fresh new people start coming up.

u/Rufus_king11 2h ago
One thing you have to give Vtubers is that they all do consistently raid into each other and that does help smaller ones pop off sometimes.

This take is so wild to me lol
Musicians, literally almost every single famous one was a right time right place kind of thing
So they make shows and media about finding promising singers and giving them a chance and a platform to get that kind of luck, worst case scenario the show itself is content, best case scenario is actually gives new people a chance to make it and be seen
Plus with this specific kind of thing it’s actually giving out free advice on how to make it in the industry from successful creators to millions of people watching
45
u/heartwaifu 7h ago
You can't convince these people that some things are just for fun. It's bizarre how many people in the comments on this sub will shit on people for enjoying watching irl streams but they don't see how ironic it is to be in one of the most known subs for drama with streaming. I could sit here and say how weird that is, but I won't, because frankly I don't care how someone chooses to spend their free time and engage with entertainment. They want to be different from the masses for shitting on something a lot of people are enjoying lol.
22
u/PictureElectronic174 7h ago
This is what makes the sub so fascinating lol its genuinely as if half the people here hate every aspect of streaming as well as every streamer that gets posted here yet they are for some reason always here
7
u/PrettyBaker2891 3h ago
95% of lsf users are miserable fucks that hate literally everything lmfao
its pretty sad living like that ngl
and not even just lsf, its reddit in general. these mfs live to hate and be outraged about the smallest things

It's not a school or university, it's a event whether you think it's dumb or not so far in term of attention it has been very successful.
3
u/OMYGoodnesz 5h ago
Ngl, I watched late 20-somethings play baby party games with full attention multiple times.
I kinda cringe looking back on the people I was watching, but it was all just harmless cringey fun.
I haven't watched a minute of this, it's definitely not in my realm. But Idk, I can't really fault people for watching a bunch of idiots do shit together.

u/Born_Cobbler_9383 3h ago
Ludwig was saying how out of Streamer University only like 10 people blow up clout wise from it. The whole point of streamer U is to build connections and take the knowledge and apply it on your own stream.
Then it’s crazy a lot of these creators have been streaming for so long and didn’t hit success until late in their careers. Valkyrae streamed since 2015 and didn’t start gaining major traction until like 5 years ago or Cinna and she started blowing up like 2 years ago. Some people start and probably wanna see success like that in a year but that seems unrealistic.
If you become a content creator you have to be prepared it can take a long time.

u/Dildondo 7h ago
All the streamer university haters would love it if it were made up of their streamers.

2
u/Raulr100 6h ago
Yeah bro you're right everyone idolises the streamers they watch. My streamers are special and I would never call them out for how regarded they are.
2
u/Jaded-Substance-6750 4h ago
Your point about streamers is absolutely right. Which is why it infuriates me that Dr. K made a video basically saying that Kai Cenat’s haters were all jealous of his success…. like bro, its not a tone dead take to dislike these people when they haven’t worked a single day in their lives
4
u/Due-Score9970 7h ago
Streamer University actually went somewhere though. Way more than YouTuber school. Also pure chance? That’s a bit delusional.
3
u/Historical-Wasabi852 5h ago
Yes by pure chance, because there's millions of entertaining funny people, just like skilled musicians, who may or may not ever be discovered
2
u/Necessary-Movie2165 6h ago
Obv lmao no one’s taking it like an actual school. It’s a networking and exposure event. Small streamers can farm clips off big ones and grow their audience
2
1
u/19Alexastias 4h ago
You gotta make the most of that chance though. Plenty of people who’ve had that and faded back into irrelevance a month later
1
u/jeneschi 3h ago
Stop thinking too deep into it . It isn't a "school" , its just a live parody . No one is gonna learn shit and the most you'll get out of it is a viral clip .
1
u/mdtopp111 2h ago
I think conceptually it can be a cool concept and also beneficial to the newer streamers… the problem is it’s literally a collection of the most annoying, fake, and clout hungry people around. These people lack an ounce of authenticity and it comes across extremely cringey

It's no different from real universities. The main goal is, will and always been networking. Not some paper or education. You learn more in the first year of your job than 7 years of university.

He's a industry plant. Before he was famous there's a photo of him circulating the internet with Lil nas x looking super sus in the photo

Duke thinking those two going to jail is him having life fucked up. Most trespassing they ain’t taking them downtown one warning and too much shit going on probably
4
u/King_Lannister 2h ago
His point still stands it's rly dumb asf to get into any situation just to see some streamers
-4
u/Jonishighsmh 53m ago
Less then 1k contributions and hella karma you glaze/suck/seek dick
3
u/King_Lannister 34m ago
I don't think I've ever clicked someone's profile to assess whatever the fuck a karma to contribution ratio is. But either way if you disagree then you must be one of these weirdo groupies in attendance to glaze and seek attention from streamers who don't know you exist.
What you need to seek is some fucking grass IMMEDIATELY
