Good. I think Speed has improved a lot compared to his early days but him and his security constantly walk around and act like the world revolves around them. I was watching some of his World Cup stream the other day and they were getting pissed when someone was asking for their credentials as if they don't need that.

u/uporabnisko_ime 1d ago
It’s also like that when he visits other countries. If he walks into some store or something, people that don’t even know what’s going on have to move and make space for him and not get in his way.
1
u/Ill_Profile4739 15h ago
if you see someone else wilking down the isle in a store do you stand in the middle or step aside? if you see 50 people coming down the isle... maybe you can figure it out.

That reminds me of when Wimbledon wouldn’t let Roger Federer through the gates because he didn’t have his credentials. No one is above showing their credentials, not even the best tennis player in the world at the most popular tennis event in the world. Security is just doing their job. Roger completely understood. He didn’t roll his eyes or have a meltdown. He just patiently waited until someone brought his badge so he could get through security.

u/SierraGolfOne 1d ago
Definitely reminds me of a better interaction in that short clip of the musician getting backstage and being stopped by security and when alerted she apologized but instead of freaking out he said something to the effect of "no no, youre doing your job, i appreciate you!"

I can’t remember the singer name but I remember watching a video of a singer at his own concert walking up and the security guard stopped him asking for his pass.
He didn’t have one so he just pointed at the posters that had his face on them. The guard was embarrassed and apologised but he said no it shows she’s doing her job

I do wonder about that lol. Like, surely 35 year old speed is not going to be particularly popular or famous, at least in relative terms compared to now.
What happens to streamers when they’re in their 40s? Or 50s? What does a complete influencer career trajectory actually look like? We just don’t really know yet, but I am personally very interested to see how this all plays out lol.
2
u/FFXIVHousingClub 22h ago
It's just like anybody else in life, if they're good with their financial mindset then they would have invested.
A lot indicate knowing their career choice as a streamer is likely temporary and they may spend frugally to invest at their peak or continue spending like crazy with no self-control and end up like many streamers who've burned and went back to real a job.
I couldn't believe multi million sports players/ musicians being broke claiming they were from the hood or shit conditions originally but they chose their luxurious lifestyle without even consulting anyone who knew about basics about money and didn't want to live frugally.

For the magnitude of his popularity he’s actually really good, still being himself still acting like what unpopular speed would act like just older. You can see the fame doesn’t get to him as much as it would for most others.

u/Corsonacon 1d ago
His international trips may have gotten him a bit out of touch. Like, to be fair when he was in those countries, the world literally kinda did revolve around him for a while. I don't think he usually has any issue with following the rules, he just gets really mad when the vibes get ruined. He just needs to go back to being a bit more lowkey in public and this shit won't happen.
28
u/Dildondo 1d ago
he just gets really mad when the vibes get ruined
The vibes being the world revolving around him and his stream.
0
u/Sirtunnelsnake98 1d ago
The man is literally sponsored by FIFA and has done everything in his power to be a celebrity that is the center of attention. How can he just “go back to being a bit more lowkey” and how can he get mad people are “ruining the vibes”? He asked for this
-13
u/catreyka 1d ago
I mean Speed has a partnership with FIFA for this World Cup and even met with their president for a collaboration. He probably assumed that he didn't need any credentials because of said partnership
4
u/primetimey123 1d ago
He has been in and out of stadiums the entire competition, every person on this planet knows you need a badge or a ticket or a wrist band.
Stop playing stupid.
-2
u/Portugeezer1893 1d ago
At a certain arbitrary point, certain people don't need it.
I don't think he's there though....
-1
u/JustLieToMyEars 18h ago
That's not true. In places that are frequented by lots of celebrities, staff are trained on what's called "Guest recognition". It's a service establishments offer for their VIPs for this exact reason, so they don't have to say who they are. It's a bit lame, but it's make them feel important.
If Speed was personally invited by Infantino and partnered with FIFA, then everyone at any stadium should know who he is. Especially since they get a list of guests attending every game.

I'm honestly so done with seeing him have multiple posts on the front page of LSF everyday.
13
u/Danger_Mysterious 1d ago
This is like the third time I’ve seen him get pulled over for hanging out the sun roof. I strongly suspect he does in fact know he’s not supposed to do that and just doesn’t give a shit.

I think the criticism is around the stupid stuff part. So if he’s still doing that what relevant changes are you talking about.

Posts like this make you look really bad bro.
You're kind of the guy the other chatter calls out.. the "grown up with a 10 year old mentality".
1
u/yo_sup_dude 22h ago
don’t you get it? if speed does something bad his critics are completely justified in mocking any moral claims about him. after all, a single mistake means that he can never be redeemed and anyone who supports him afterwards is a moral hypocrite who doesn’t actually care about morality at all

I'm curious to know why his mate is dressed up as a alien? Also, how does Speed not know that hanging outside while in a moving vehicle is reckless?
80
u/KhorneStarch 1d ago
He 100% knows, he is American and it’s a no brainer that you can’t sit on the roof of a car or hang off it. Hell you’ll get pulled over sitting in the back of a truck. He just doesn’t care because he gets away with it so much and he thinks he is center of the universe.

That's a shitty position for the driver to be in. Speed isn't going to get a citation, ticket, or go to jail. The officer said it was reckless driving which means it would be on the driver.
That could mean his livelihood would be in danger as he could lose his chauffeur license over this... and what are you going to do, tell your client they can't do something when they are most likely paying far more then normal limo rates.
4
u/SergeantHAMM 1d ago
welp for non rich ppl the person sitting out the window or in the back of the truck gets the ticket if they’re old enough to have a license.. seen it happen probably 5 times working landscaping.
0
u/centran 1d ago
Really? Since it's reckless driving charge I figure they could only ticket the driver. IDK, maybe they get them on an endangerment charge instead?
1
u/SergeantHAMM 1d ago
yeah idk what the charge is.. I didn’t play the video with sound. I just know you can be ticketed even if you’re not driving but you’re still endangering ppl.

In New York, cops can ticket adult passengers directly for not being seatbelted. I wonder where else that's the case.

25
u/Educational-Fan4555 1d ago
Honestly, I see no problem here. Police did his job and Speed complied.
Its so unsafe to sit on top of a car like this. I clicked on his stream before multiple times and he's been going down a literal highway, at highway speeds, while sat on top of the car. If the car for whatever reason crashes, that's actual death...
10
u/Aerographic 1d ago
Cause he does this shit all the time in every country he goes to and never gets called out on it.
You think a random cop in ATL is suddenly going to make him change his mind about being reckless when he's driving around in Mozambique or god knows where?

Its because the initial comment implies cooperating with police will lead to nothing bad happening. Its a bit of a dog whistle for people who support the police over citizens. Everyone knows it's a case by caes thing, but one side is a government controlled "trained" staff with legal immunity. The other side is random people usually going through the worst day of their life
2
u/felisisthebest 1d ago
i mean between the option of listening to a psycho with a gun and legal immunity who can shoot me and not listening to a psycho with a gun and legal immunity who can shoot me, which option gives me a better chance of going about my day?

Probably because in every speed post you guys are here saying stuff like this? Like we get it, speed used to be young, now he's not. No need to put him on a pedestal for the simplest of things. Nice of him to react this way, but the constant glazing is a bit tiresome. I dont mind speed, he's an okay guy. but he's not exactly a role model or a bastion of human decency

In a lot of places a reckless driving ticket is the same points off your license as a DUI. You also get your license suspended for 6 months.
