Where’s he at now?
Edit: evidently I pissed off some clavicular or whatever fans. I am now a broke boy.

IIRC he was never criminally charged, it was a civil suit. Also not to say he didn't assault her but he was 18 at the time and she was 16.

Dude can be a predator, and be 100% correct about not stopping for a stream sniper. You don't have to pick one.

Bad people can be right about things and good people can be wrong about things. People need to stop glazing and defending streamers that they link when they do something wrong and vice versa for streamers that they don't like
→ More replies (1)6
u/Baigne May 02 '26
There is this really awesome thing called understanding. Just because he’s bad doesn’t mean he didn’t have the right at that moment to do what he did.

It worked perfectly, though, the dude literally was stunned after the slap, and then immediately got punched in the face right after. I’d say all three played their part perfectly.

You never know, man. Could be an Undertaker and Kane type of situation

Fighting is always stupid. Anytime you can walk away you should walk away. Doesn’t matter who needs to be taught a lesson. A stranger can do something you never can plan for. Being tough is low IQ.
→ More replies (25)12
u/dyzorted May 02 '26
Only issue here is that if you walk away, you leave yourself still susceptible to getting hurt anyways. Not much good will come from turning your back on a guy who clearly wants to beef you, even if you have him outnumbered.
2
u/MaxTheRealSlayer May 02 '26
They're literally beside the CN tower. There will be police within a few blocks.
Also, lots of people die from getting unlucky in a fight. And in Canada, that is usually legally murder because you can't use stronger force to protect yourself. Only equal or less. 1 i know in my city made a bar close because a bar fight turned to a death. 1 I know had a university residence raided by police because he knocked someone into a coma...basically his sentence would be based on if the coma patient woke up or passed. Not worth it.
2
u/dyzorted May 02 '26
Never said you should fully immobile them, just saying that you shouldnt let your guard down unless the aggressor is completely out of reach.
People are unpredictable, you dont wanna get stabbed in the back trying to be the good guy and turning away, stand your ground and get them to back off. The police can only do so much when your bleeding out from a possible fatal wound 😐

Bro, idk who any of these people are but the clip starts with them saying “get on walking” they’re saying I don’t want any of this and you can just get out of here. He chose to stay and escalate, id be scared of what he had on him for sure.
49
u/cid_highwind_7 May 02 '26
Exactly. Either he’s carrying something or thinks he’s got nothing to lose and is crazy. Either way it’s very dangerous and someone you don’t want to fight

Canada is funny about self-defense, so it’s not as simple as you might think
6
u/IntegralCalcIsFun May 04 '26
Not really. Canadian self defence laws are quite well-defined and not nearly as restricting as people on the internet would have you believe. Section 34 of the Criminal Code states:
(1) A person is not guilty of an offence if
(a) they believe on reasonable grounds that force is being used against them or another person or that a threat of force is being made against them or another person;
(b) the act that constitutes the offence is committed for the purpose of defending or protecting themselves or the other person from that use or threat of force; and
(c) the act committed is reasonable in the circumstances.
Where most people get the idea of self defence laws in Canada being restricting is from section (2), which outlines the factors that go into determining what constitutes "reasonable actions." Specifically, subsections (b) and (g) are where people get caught up:
(2) In determining whether the act committed is reasonable in the circumstances, the court shall consider the relevant circumstances of the person, the other parties and the act, including, but not limited to, the following factors:
(b) the extent to which the use of force was imminent and whether there were other means available to respond to the potential use of force;
(g) the nature and proportionality of the person’s response to the use or threat of force
Basically, you are allowed to defend yourself from harm as long as there is reasonable belief that you are in danger and you do not unreasonably escalate the use of force.

They're fine. A lot of people in this subreddit really like to fearmonger Canada's self defence laws, when the Criminal Code already has them protected.
Guy had a knife, and 3 people neutralised him. That is legal.

I know this guy is a lost cause anyway but here is my 2 cent:
Never listen to hype mans from the crowd. "Kick his ass" but they will not help if its turns ugly. At the first sign of serious trouble they will dip. They will not call an ambu or police. They will not go to the ER with you. They will not get arrested with you. They are not doing shit. So again don't listen to hype mans in the crowd.
6
u/mahk99 May 02 '26
They didnt really listen to the hype man though. The guy had just escalated the situation to the point where they had to stop him from being a threat

u/SevenWonton May 02 '26

u/Capable_Studio_6631 May 04 '26
It's a bit weird to put Indians in the "Brown" category when they look very distinctly different than most other people. Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indians come from the same region.
They are not similar to Malaysians, Filipinos, Indonesians even though all of these countries have brown asians.
So this begs the question, would you rather that the police catch the wrong guy because you gave them the wrong description of what your attacker looked like? "OH he was brown!"
"Brown? Here's your sub-african dude."
"No, not this kind of brown!"
Etc.

13
u/StyxQuabar May 02 '26
Friendly reminder that adding “indian guy” has no purpose in the title except to potentially give ammunition to racists. Unless his ethnicity is relevant, there is literally no point to adding it. You wouldnt say “white guy”, “italian guy”, because its not relevant. Indian people are already facing enough racism in Canada.

Maybe, but if so why not describe him as that, why not call him a stream sniper, or a crazy stalker. Only describing him an Indian guy is a weird word choice for the title
If the sniper was instead a white guy I doubt you would title it:
