I would hope if this guy is making a spectacle of it, those students cheated or were unethical in some way. No other reason to blast them openly.

It's not real, all the names are cast members of LotR

Yeah… kinda a dick move otherwise. You’re not as funny as you think, professor.

I'm guessing it's a general ed class and it's nore of a situation where they didn't put in the minimum amount of effort.

u/Miserable-Meet-7629 12h ago
Setup and kinda lame. Last names are all the cast members of the movies.

I find it funny how the girl was already standing up, even tho her name was not even called yet.
She knew.

It’s not real, it’s literally the names of the movies cast he’s reading out.

u/tealgameboycolor 12h ago
Oh y’all think this is unrealistic? I had an Indian professor in a college English course that would read aloud the worst and most hastily compiled essays out loud to the class. It would create the most uncomfortable classroom environment lmao but also unintentionally hilarious.

Might be funny if it wasn't illegal.
Edit: I appear to have missed the joke.

Had a japanese physics prof at UGA that would throw chalk at all the sleeping students. Didn’t speak great english but was a great teacher!

Nobody in college today "should" have been born when this movie came out.
This is like dressing up as an alien and saying "ET phone home" in front of the class in 2008.

They voted for it, no way is nice finding out you're failing a class. At least this way you could ask for extra work for credit.

Talk about a professor who has lost the objective of their job

Welcome to sketch comedy

Where’s the comedy?
1
u/ButtSnarfer 12h ago
In the video. Surely you're aware comedy is subjective. I'd be worried about you if not.

u/DetroitLionsEh Original Bro 🕶️ 12h ago
You’d think someone as familiar with comedy as you are would know that stolen jokes aren’t funny
I’d be worried about you if not

u/ButtSnarfer 12h ago
Oh, my bad. Did I say I thought it was funny? No? Ok.

u/DetroitLionsEh Original Bro 🕶️ 12h ago
Oh my bad man
I thought you knew what the word comedy meant
Sorry ❤️

u/ButtSnarfer 12h ago
Entertainment meant to make people laugh. It's fine if you or I don't don't laugh, but that doesn't change the definition

If this is real and he's in the United States, this could be in violation of a federal law known as FERPA, which prohibits the disclosure of educational records without permission. I'm pretty sure announcing that they failed in front of the whole class would be covered.

u/Every_Kale_1586 12h ago
Bro. All the last names were litterally the last names of the actors from LOTR.
Its a fucking funny joke. No need to get the feds involved.
