There's another guy behind green shirt original catcher who sees it too, though. So at least 3 witnesses.

Didn’t do anything wrong. Gotta secure the catch

Didn’t matter, dude gave the ball back in the end.
Forgive the Facebook link, I didn’t look deeper for another source of this context

I mean it sucks for the guy that lost it but I don't think he did anything wrong. It's not like he took it out of the glove. It's no different than somebody scrambling for it and then having it and dropping it.

Didn't do anything wrong, but he sure as hell didn't do the right thing either.
Not a "dude"

What is the "right" thing? Would you give the ball back to sometime that first held it in a scramble but dropped it?
Should a runner be safe because the baseman dropped the ball?
I feel like it a pretty widely accepted philosophy.. You gotta hold onto the ball for it to count.
I feel like it is dude behavior.. No bro behavior for sure

It may not be sportmanship but it's definitely both bro and dude behavior if it secured points for his team.

It’s crazy how smooth that was and how nobody else saw it. Reminded me of the movie Ground Hogs Day when Bill Murray knew right when things would happen.

Wrong sub for this but funny
I remember seeing this awhile ago, the more times you watch the more you see, like he thinks his friend has the ball and is giving it back but is actually just going for daps lol

That guy is definitely not a dude.

The guy who jumped around celebrating instead of securing the ball? Agree.
