People need to learn to read before commenting
If people post a question, and say they have tried Fix X which didn't work or cannot use / do Fix Y you can almost guarantee there will be comments suggesting Fixes X and Y. Read the damn post! They specifically said they already did X and cannot do Y so what exactly are you contributing to the discussion by suggesting things you already know will not help.
I know literacy levels are on the decline but I would have thought the most basic of comprehension skills would be available to those on a text-based website. Read the post before you comment!

How I Ignore Negative Comments
I’ve been thinking for a while that I wanted to let everyone know how I deal with people who give me negative comments.
Pretty simple really, I just either blocked or reported them for their rude behavior or being too stupid on me.
It would be pointless to have arguments with anger or attitude towards people on social media to continuously insulting comments of none stop, especially when you end up getting in trouble with administrators for that problem.
Point is, just blocked them.

I thought it was just me
Reading all this after looking it up,I thought I was just angry and violent due to disrespect and idiots who have no common courtesy, common sense, manners or a care in the world but for themselves. All of,everything mentioned here is what pusses me off in a nut shell.Noise in public places or friends over, bars, whatever is fine, but invasive racket, loud eating,,loud people, banging aeound the kitchen, just loud stupid shit, sudden loud noise, all the shit that seems real unnecessary in life. One of the worst things ever is an idiot sitting in front of the tv with it on 50,I think that is just someone who is stone ignorant.I think they're the ones with the mental problems. But I/we are the ones who have to deal with it.

I hate this Commercial from the Ntsha psa
The whole "Dog Lady" PSA style relies entirely on cheap jumpscares and emotional guilt-tripping rather than actually teaching safe driving habits.
It tricks the viewer into not seeing the hazard until the last second just for shock value. It feels incredibly lazy. Giving people anxiety behind the wheel with graphic horror-movie editing doesn't make them better drivers; it just makes them paranoid.

Speaker phone in public!
You know what really grinds my gears? People who have a phone conversation on speaker in public. In a car sure fine, but it's 2026. I don't need to hear your entire conversation and about how your baby daddy ain't shit. Get some damn earbuds!

Yes. I understand. Okay. Gotcha
For the 5th time in a row I'm saying okay. You don't have to keep repeating the same point over and over and over again. You don't need to let me know your whole persuasive thesis as to why something is the way it is. I understand. I get it. Okay. Got it. Why do you keep talking? What do I need to do to get you to understand that I understand and am in agreement with you. Are you ever going to shut the hell up?

people who are ALWAYS asking for something are so annoying agh
it's so annoying when people ask for things like can I borrow your clothes or stuff, me personally I really am not really comfortable in giving people my clothes but what a f****** audacity to ask for clothes and even like basic things like it's okay it's still okay that you asked and I gave it to you but bitch return it on time at least. people literally rough use it and then when you ask, "you really have to ask" for it back AND THEY GIVE YOU ROUGHED UP THING. ISN'T IT A BASIC MANNER FIRST OF ALL TO JUST NOT ASK FOR SHIT? AND WHEN YOU DO JUST RETURN IT ON TIME. AND IF YOU DON'T PLAN TO RETURN IT ON TIME AT LEAST DO NOT ROUGH UP MY THING. AGH. THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING

People who stand in the entrance of a restaurant while holding the door wide open
Go inside or go outside and close the door. You're letting the heat in/out along with gusts of wind which disturb the people sitting near the door. Have some self awareness.

What is the height of bad manners in 2026?
I'm wondering if I keep meeting assholes all day or if in fact I'm the asshole, I would love to validate my asshole-ness by confirming what other people consider bad manners, however trivial!

Rude small businesses?
A small trend I've started to notice is the sorta rude comments that small businesses leave, I really dislike it. I understand this brands frustration of people maybe not understanding the value of your work, but this seems a bit much...assuming a stranger hasn't made anything themselves goes a bit far and is just rude to me idk. this new sort of entitlement is such a pet peeve of mine, you can take time to handmake these pieces but not media train to curate a good image for your hard work???
edit to add: y'all the og commenter wasn't me LMAO 😭😭 but also tysm for all the replies! I love getting a new perspective

People that throw cardboard boxes in a non-recyclable bin are a special kind of stupid. In my humble opinion. 🙂

People chewing gum with their mouth open or talking and dealing with it after
I don’t want to see and smell your chewing gum or bubble gum. They always use their fingers to remove the gum and stick it elsewhere. Disgusting!

Parents who delude themselves into thinking their child is gifted and a future genius because they have a slightly above average reading age when they were 5
And then get angry and disappointed when their child doesn't and can't live up to their insane expectations for the rest of their lives. It's okay for your kid to be average and normal. Your child doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to be worthy of being loved.

Companies that prey on the elderly.
My mom will be 77 this year and has the early stages of dementia and it absolutely pisses me off that she gets no less than 20 spam calls a day. How the hell did people even get her number, she never uses the internet so it’s not like she put her phone number somewhere online. It seems to me there’s a leak somewhere in the social security/Medicare systems because 99% of them started when she started to get it.
She asked me yesterday if she had Medicare A&B and I asked why “someone called the other day and asked”. I know their crap because I work in medical billing and I hear from patients all the time that they never agreed to switch their insurance but do remember someone asking questions on a phone call. At this point I’m going to have to restrict her call settings to only contacts and I feel it’s stupid that I have to do the things I do for my child to protect my parent.

People commenting 'I bought X and it's fine' just to gaslight OP about their defective product.
You know what grinds my gears? It's when someone posts about a bad experience they had with a product (or a service), provides proof of the issue and focuses on saving others from wasting their time and money if it's terrible, ONLY for a brainlet to comment that they never had that problem.
For example:
OP: "Yesterday, I bought an Acme TV from x and it suddenly turns off after an hour of use. x does not offer refunds."
Brainlet: "I bought the same Acme TV, never had that issue tho."
It contributes nothing to the conversation. what is the point of that comment? Are they accusing OP of lying given evidence? Are they reassuring the reader that because a unit works, all units are not defective? (edit: modified the previous sentence because I wrote the opposite of it unintentionally) Are they shifting the blame to the buyer instead of the seller?

i find it annoying when i say “i live with my family” and it’s automatically assumed im a jobless bum who still lives with their parents
your spouse and children are your family, no?
it annoys me even though i am technically a jobless bum who lives with their parents.
