You saved him! He's clearly getting more comfortable just from the photos, I hope the two of you (and the other critters) have many wonderful years together ahead.
You’ve done a wonderful thing, saving him and looking out for other creatures, like the poor kitten who didn’t make it. The world can be a tough place, but you’ve made it better.
Unfortunately true couple of weeks before i found him there were also a kitten and i saw a dog bite her i live in the six floor i ran to her and after i reached her because of the bite she died like a day after
Sadly this is so true . We took 2 out of 4 kittens last summer whilst on holiday in Greece . Feel guilty about all the ones that we haven’t been able to catch or give a home to.
I had a similar scenario 11 years ago. I had had an elderly orange persian I adopted from the shelter(owner had passed). The day he passed in his sleep I heard tiny mews late in the night. I figured a neighbour had a kitten. Well 5ish days passed and the mews continued and I went to investigate. Found a monthish old black kitten in an abandoned shed/garage, that I lured out with momma cat calls played off YouTube lol. He's doing good! 11 years this summer!
Awww, lil trash kitten has spunk. Thank you for loving him despite the bad manners. My little feral girl is still a food gremlin too, whatever you are eating she finds a way to get some of it.
My Big Murph was a stray and he gets in my garbage often. He’s actually getting a little better and I’ve had him since December 17 of 2025. He’s a big fat boy now because he was neutered so late and he’s a food hound.
I had a Deral Dumpster Cow Cat named Molly - we spent the first week together with her sitting across the room from me, and hissing at me if I even looked at her. I steadfastly ignored her (food and fresh water, a respectful distance away). One day, she came and sat near me, and an hour later she rubbed against my leg,
She was my dear friend until she passed away many years later.
Yes, I have a former community cat. He is very well fed now with wet food, dry food, Churus, etc. Still, if he sees unguarded food, he will go investigate.😁 Your fur baby looks wonderful. I just love cats with attitude. It makes life interesting.
Firstly thank you for saving the little cutie appreciate your kind soul secondly this immediately popped into my head so I must get the song stuck in someone else’s xD
I rescued my current cat Cinder when he was 7 months old. He was cornered by a feral colony, and was probably the only I was able to take him in. After two weeks of patience, he turned into the biggest cuddle bug. Thank you for saving this baby and I wish you the best with him.
My feral cow cat Jack. He just showed up as a very tiny feral kitten. I thought I had a rat until I saw his ringed tail. It was the middle of January and I have no idea how he got into my home. He got outside every chance he got and a few years back, he never returned.
Little Jack the feral cat (2018-2024)
Volio was the old tabby cat (2008-2023).
I’m pretty sure the big black butt is Jasper.
I know you didn’t ask for names, and any self-respecting cat owner probably doesn’t need help, but I have to recommend Heathcliff or possibly one of the other cats from that old cartoon. The coloring doesn’t quite match Heathcliff, but…
Picture 3 broke me. I gasped & nearly ugly cried at how tiny & peeping. Your orange boy angel cat knew you two needed each other. Hey, Little Mr. Hisser, you are a very lucky boi. A beloved orange angel chose you for the CDS jackpot. You’re safe now. No more scratchies on the hooman. ❤️
What a little sweet bean! Pic 3 is so precious 🥹 I love how feisty he is! Congrats on the new addition to the family! Also, I have a cow girl who is feisty and loves garbage! She knocks over my can to get into it! What’s with cows and garbage? 😂
I love him so much!!!! The minute I saw that feisty attitude he reminded me of my baby Patches that we took in last November. All she ever did was hiss and run away until the day she let me pet her. She’s been glued to me ever since and sleeps cuddling me every night and hollers for pets and snuggles throughout the day.
Awe!!! He’s so cute!!! Love the name💙💙💙Leo or Feisty Cow so glad you were found by your wonderful new hooman!!!! Enjoy your new life of love and luxury!!! We have 3 cow kitties!!!
I too have a dumpster kitty she was about 5 months old when my friend found her!! Skinny and needed fluids food shots etc I went and saw her and said I would take her… but was going ing of town so when I came back for her… I was told she was pregnant with 5 little kitties!! 🐈⬛ she was young to be a mama!! So after she had her babies and kitties were ready for homes I took My MISTY ROSE 🌹 TO HER NEW FOREVER HOME!! we now have 3 strictly indoor kitties she’s beautiful and my girls all get along!! Rag Doll I think!! Enjoy your new fur baby how luck he was that you answered his loud meows!! 💙🐈⬛💙 our kitties are two of the lucky ones no more dumpsters for them!! Yeah!! 💙🩵💙💖💝💖
He is adorable!! Looks like he could hold his own !! Glad he has his forever home!! Happy for you and your cool fur baby!! 💙🐈⬛💙 I had a black and white kitty I named her OREO!!
OP, you might want to get a tetanus shot. My now-nineteen-year-old kitty bit me when he was a stray and I was feeding him a can of tuna. :). A tetanus shot is what the doctor recommended.
I've got 4. 3 of which were found within a few feet of a dumpster as kittens. 1 was tossed out of a truck doing 80 down a country road in a box with 8 other kittens and was the only survivor.
I once had a dog who was a true street dog. He loved to raid the trash can because he smelled something tasty. Ended up getting a trash can with a closed top. And he was a picky eater, too!
oh seeing him in the dumpster just made me cry! Thank goodness you got him before the dump trucks or a predator!! He looks so much happier, and you are such a blessing for saving him.
