After being abandoned at a Shell gas station in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, a stray dog named Negão refused to leave the spot where his owners had left him. Instead of turning him away, station owner Sabrina Plannerer adopted him, gave him veterinary care, and made him the station’s official greeter, complete with a uniform, employee ID badge, and nametag.

Negão quickly became the station’s most beloved "employee," greeting customers with a wagging tail, receiving toys and treats from regulars, and even helping promote the adoption of other rescue animals through the local charity Grupo FERA.

Andy Detwiler lost both of his arms in a grain auger accident on his family’s Ohio farm when he was just two years old. Instead of letting the tragedy define him, he learned to do nearly everything with his feet, from driving tractors and repairing equipment to fueling machinery and running the family farm.

Through his YouTube channel, The Harmless Farmer, Andy inspired more than 130,000 subscribers by showing that determination can overcome even the toughest obstacles. His motto was simple: "Never give up," and his story encouraged countless people facing challenges of their own.

After Andy passed away in 2022 at the age of 52, his community honored his legacy by raising funds for a larger-than-life bronze statue. Standing in a field near West Liberty, Ohio, the monument captures him ready to get back to work, with his bare feet proudly front and center, a lasting tribute to the resilience and spirit that inspired so many.
