He didnt lose it. Its all theoretical until you cash out. SpaceX insane valuation was a dump onto the market, a liquidity event. Whats important is how much of that money he gets out of the company. The stock was never meant to stay high. We can shit on him all we want but this process was meant to enrich him and it did.

He wasn't able to cash out anything yet though. What it did was raise a lot of money for data centers.
