Intriguing Solved the Fruit of the Loom Mandela effect
Okay hear me out before you roast me 😂 I went down a Fruit of the Loom rabbit hole and I might have stumbled onto something. The current logo has bright green leaves, but a bunch of the vintage tags on Throwback Vault shirts (a vintage clothing store) have darker, brownish leaves. Maybe our brains just collectively went, “Yep… there was definitely a cornucopia.”
**EDIT** New theory: [u/dmvr1601](u/dmvr1601) pointed out that the Katsiroubas Bros logo has a cornucopia 🥐, and that we might be confusing it for the Fruit of the Loom logo. They’re a produce company, so it’s possible many of us saw it on grocery store boxes or fruit stickers over the years and subconsciously mixed it up with the Fruit of the Loom logo. 🤯
**EDIT 2** So far, every piece of “evidence” supporting the cornucopia has been debunked or traced back to edited, fake, or misidentified images. Snopes has a good breakdown of each claim:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/fruit-of-the-loom-cornucopia/
***EDIT 3*** Another possible explanation is that images of fruit in cornucopias were popular in the ’80s and ‘90s especially in Thanksgiving decorations, kitchen decor, and even grocery produce displays. It’s possible many of us formed a general association between “fruit” and a cornucopia, then later our brains attributed that memory to the Fruit of the Loom logo?
