Black women often wear bonnets and shower caps to preserve their hair styles. I think this guy was making a play on words of the phrase “no cap” slang for true/no lie/ for real.
She was too lazy/burnt out to work. Yet had the energy to get her hair perfect before going in. Because one is self absorbed and a unlike white women most WOC don’t just rock a ponytail. It’s hard to articulate in a mere couple sentences.
Hair is an interesting documentary done by Chris Rock on this topic.
It’s just a dog whistle because black people and black women generally use shower caps and bonnets to protect their hair from water and heat damage. So their statement is strongly alluding to her incompetence because she’s black, like a racist would
Firstly thanks. Second eeeew. Some of these racist allusions seem so piss weak. “You sometimes wear a shower cap so you can look nice, I’m better than you!” No confidant worthwhile person ever said something like that.
